Aha - I didn't realise they had options available for the USA ones, that makes a lot more sense. What are the main differences as far as electronics go, all info I can find is that they are exactly the same.

I'm thinking about buying a L 2000 in the near future. I just want to know, what the differences are (if any) between the USA and Tribute models. They seem to have the same electronics and timbers, so why nearly $1000 difference? I'd love to hear from someone who owns or has owned both...

That's exactly what I've just had done. I had Warmoth make me a bass that takes cues from Ken Smith, Wal, Sadowsky to name a few...I love it. However my dream bass was always my '97 Stingray 4. What I'm now gassing over is a Wal MK2, so I guess that's now my dream bass......

Don't worry too much bout what the website says you can and can't do. My new Warmoth is practically all custom stuff that the site said couldn't happen. Just email Jason Lillie - he's the guy who helped me out- and he can price anything you need manually.
