    Hello. I was very disappointed when I played a MIM P bass... not a little bit of classical P bass sound. Maybe i just picked a bad MIM or something. PD: I'm from Mexico.

    -4 strings or more -22 frets - 34 or more scale lenght -one pickup in my ideal location or 2 pickups. -volume peer each pickup -adjustable bridge And most important: -good fretwork, no fretbuzzes and medium low action (the lower the better)

    This is exactly what I thought . I love mi 24 fret six string. It is great to play from the low B to the high C .

    In Praise of Basswood!

    I have a Ibanez GSR-190... bottom of the line with basswood bodie. I changed the pickups and took out the frets. It simply sound AMAZING. It may be a matter of taste, but for me it sounds better than a MIM P-Bass . Basswood has earned it name :bassist: .
