After returning two Ampeg combos that were broken in the box. I've finally got an amp that not only works, but also sounds awesome and has plenty of volume. I got this Fender Bassman 250 210 for 550! :hyper::bassist:

Well yeah, I'm talking about the combos myself. Since it seems the OP is talking about combos himself. GK's Backline is also their lowest quality amplifier they make... and I definitely got more than I paid for.

Thank you for this post sir. I've had a tough gear week. Bought an Ampeg 210SP that was busted, and then returned it for an Ampeg 115BAHPT which had a blown sub. Knowing I'm not the only unlucky guy on the planet makes me happy. :(

I picked up a Fender Aerodyne Precision recently. I love the bass but the J pick up hiss far too much. I'm looking to replace both the P and J pick up. I play mostly death metal and need some advice on which route to go. Also, is there anything else to replace that will help reduce hissing?

I'd get rid of the ashtray, and neck PUP cover. I'd also get different knobs, those just don't fit the bass in my opinion. Other than that looking good.
