I agree with few of the names mentioned above, but I have to add one more which is extreme overrated even amongst our community and this is Geddy Lee. He's just decent.
Although I like many of the signature models when played by those they were made for, the only signature model I'd really like to have in my possession is Gary Willi's signature model, GWB1005. I think it has one of the greatest fretless tones ever.
these things really are different from what I've from time to time! Do they sound as weird as they look? Do they worth buying one? Because as I see they are not that expensive as I thought they would be...
...it can be made, but only from bozonwood for the body and and fermionwood for the neck. These are the only woods that can confront the force of 26 strings...
I am sick of seeing crappy bands and crappy players over the internet and especially on youtube.I hate the fact that people make a video of them playing without knowing what they worth just to satisfy their ego and think they are the best. I also hate people who delete comments which tell them...
If I had the money to replace them, I'd smash a bass at each gig. Not expensive ones though or basses that I am emotionally involved with :P, but I'd definitely do it because I really really get excited when I play!!
I wouldn't do it without them!! I like experimenting with my sound and I think I couldn't live without my V-Bass!!! I often don't even use a plain bass sound in songs. Even in the group I play!!
I am a lefty who plays right handed too. But as I can see this is not so rare. What I 'd like to see is if there are any right handed who play lefty basses!!!
I am about 5000 euros. Not much in numbers, but I don't care to pay for my stuff if I know it's worth. And the sum would be at least doubled if I had a regular job!! So many in my GAS list!!!
The thing goes like this.I wanted to buy a fretless cause I wanted to experience something different. I actually had never played fretless before except from very few times and not for long. I loved its sound but really didn't know how it will fit with my playing style.
So I bought a Lakland...
