@ezstep Great story! I spent quite a bit of time in the good ole country genre in the 80-90’s (as a drummer/closet bassist). Mr. Price was a gem. I miss that quality of vocals and wish the “biz” still honored that the male voice doesn’t fully mature till much later in life.

Each one has its advantages. Didn't initially like the black but it does tie in the neck dots well. However, such a nice color, just do without a guard unless you are a heavy hitter/sweater. My personal fav is pearl on blue but you do loose the fade.

That price sounds like a fair quote from what I’ve seen. If it’s a custom color…. Great! But most are stock colors if used. Don’t know any issues for any year of SR. For the price of a new Spector you could, if patient, get this H and probably a nice used HH. Not a thing wrong with a(n)...

@fishdude101101 You nailed it. We all do have variations of what we hear. Hopefully you can find somewhere to listen to a special. I’m super biased to a SR in general but the HH special (which is my wife’s bass but she lets me play it sometimes 🤤😆) is so veeerry nice.
