Grab a set of Fender 9120 tape wound strings. They sound amazing on my Kingman V1.

I have an Epiphone Allan Woody short scale (30”) paid 600 w/case at Sweetwater. “Middle shelf” bass. Put LaBella flats on it and it sounds great.

Tapes are my go to on my Kingman V1. I also use them on my Gretsch 5123b, Squier Jazz Bass and Ibanez 400 EQM. I use Fender 9120’s. The tension is great for me.

I keep mine in a strat gig bag. Fits perfectly.

Here’s my Kingman V1. I think it’s a 2012. I would like a number.

I’ve put Fender 9120 tape wounds on my Kingman V-1. Playing it a lot more now as it fits our mix better. Closest I’m gonna get to upright sound.

Thanks I’ll do that. Checking it out I had a loose end on the instrument cable. Now to tighten that button and check out the wires.

Help! The stra button/cable plug on my Fender Kingman keeps coming loose causing the electronics to cut out. Is there an easy fix? Tried tightening from outside but it comes loose again. Trying to save a trip to the luthier.
