    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

They claim this one is isolated. Seems to work fine so far. What’s crap about it? I’d seen the opposite claim with youtubers and that they were pretty good value options.

the missing link was needing the 500mA source instead of 100. (In case this comes up for anyone else)

Has anyone had any issues powering the B3N in a pedalboard? I just got one of those Donner power supplies, and seems to keep cycling power after playing for a couple of minutes. I have it connected to a 9V out, which seems like it should work. I don’t also see the same problem with other...

Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

Yeah, and the whole process of having to manually rename files to get them on the device is about as clunky as it gets compared with other devices (like from Zoom or Line6). Unless I'm missing something? Also considering adding in a Soleman to the chain so I can display patch names live.

Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

I'm a new Future Impact owner as of last week and have yet to dig back through this whole thread, so please pardon my n00b-ness on this question. Has anyone made any homemade software for managing patches? That's been the one downside of the pedal so far, manually naming files and the...

The answer to my own question is huge fuzz patches

Has anyone played with patches from the b3n to go into a vocoder? (like Iron Lung) Any tips on what would work best? I'd expect something distorted or synthy to get the most tone out of it (vocoder hasn't shown up yet... pre-planning some patches :) )

Definitely a more cost conscious approach, which is why I haven’t caved on any of them yet. It already does a lot, and some of the fun novelty ones I only use on a few tunes. Getting a lot of mileage out of that “GlamComp” lately

Have any of you guys liked an effect so much from a b3 or b3n sim that you bought the real pedal? I’m getting temped by an external Sans DI and some of the synth stuff.

I’ve played with that a bit, is there a way to make it not pulse and just hold the tone?

I’d love if they added a freeze/drone style pedal to the unit. I find the looper a little cumbersome to do that with.

Thanks for the tips. On the instrument side are you both using active pickups?

Does anyone have any tips for using the DG sims? I’ve heard some people get some really good growly gain with them, but they seem kinda flat when I experiment with them. Does it depend on anything else? Compression? Super lively pickups? Louder volumes?

Hoping that the new Guitar Lab interface inspires folks to be more liberal with their custom patch sharing. I like trying other peoples’ setups, especially how they organize for live performance.
