Stoner/Doom Bassists 69: Swollen Pickle and Big Muff Play

Just fyi, this is the german band Die Ärzte (The Doctors). They play some kind of poppy rock/punk. The bassist plays a Signature Career bass (Link: Invalid Link Removed) Example: The best part of the music are usually the funny lyrics though. Yeah, I am kind of a fanboy, just had to...

Stoner/Doom Bassists 48: Riffin is my business and business is SLOW

NPD: (feels weird saying that as a German, but oh well :o) Got myself a Pharaoh and am very happy with it. Super flexible, can go from an ODish boost to a really nice fuzzy growl. The silicon mode can produce some pretty high gain sounds, I prefer the Germanium mode (NATÜRLICH! :D) I...

Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Pt. 45: Rule 34: Handwired Gear Pronz

Yeah, Abraham opened. Wasn't too impressed of what I heard from them, but then again the sound was pretty crappy (CoL Sound was much better). The only things you heard were bass, drums and the singer, who was really entertaining to watch :p

Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Pt. 45: Rule 34: Handwired Gear Pronz

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, will definitely check them out. The Iron Ether Oxide seems to be right up my alley. Now I just need a little more money... BTW, saw Cult of Luna yesterday. Crushing experience, really liked the new tracks. They started the set with I, the Weapon and then...

Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Pt. 45: Rule 34: Handwired Gear Pronz

Hmm, thats kinda hard to answer. I really dig the tone in Oms State of Non Return, but I also like that really compressed Fuzz sound of Wanna Be in LA by the Eagles of Death Metal (:ninja:) I guess I'm looking for a versatile Fuzz :smug: ?

:D well I'm definitely no photographer, and the room is quite dark... The cabs are made by a German custom guy. They are pretty light and come with a switchable 8 inch speaker. The Bass is a MiM 50s classic upgraded with a Babicz Bridge and a SPB2. Has a pretty nasty 7th fret G string dead...

Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread 29: "Please Huff Responsibly"

Rig Pictures! Had a Drummer at rehearsal on Friday, but it was kinda weird cause he was much older than I thought. We were jamming Killing in the Name of and he didn't knew it, so he messed up the breaks...seems like we'll have to keep searching. My rig was awesome though, even if I had to...

I actually used the Behringer "Sansamp" and thought the midscoop got me lost in the mix. Its tone is really cool, but I liked my pure amp tone better. BTW found a crappy picture on my phone, I will take better ones tonight at rehearsall
