I found out from the UK importer that the Hipshot Ultralites fitted to the Gibson Non-Reverses are actually the licensed tuners, they are the satin grey chrome finish jobbies, fab tuners, maybe save yourself a few $s and get those? I may be wrong as I've not checked, but I think they do them in...

Fair enough, I've heard of them but never heard his name before. But I do know all about Pantera and Rex Brown - and I still didn't go to buy one, was in the shop to try out a IG NR but it was peculiarly heavy and balanced like a sack of poopy so I tried the Rex bird and it balanced great. Tho...

Hoping someone knows - are the Non-Reverse Thunderbird bodies the same size/dimensions as the Non-Reverse Firebirds? The normal (reverse) Thunderbirds/Firebirds are exactly the same dims, I would anticipate that the Non-Reverses would follow the same logic but we are dealing with Gibson designs...

And I forgot to mention: the Greco-alikes sound similar-ish to the 60s reissue types on the recent Non-Reverses but, in the same way that Greco p'ups behave, they have an element of bass-end unbridled lunacy. I absolutely LOVE THEM. Will get them recorded soon as I can. Should have a bunch of...

Got the Greco-alikes in my PB Non-Reverse - got to record it alongside the sound of the originals, just a queue for studio time! Related topic: normal (reverse) Thunderbirds' bodies are the exact same size as Firebirds - is the same true of the Non-Reverse Thunderbirds/Firebirds? Getting...

Saw an interview with her in the last year or two and she's still absolutely delightful!

If I hadn't already got one for £100 less - that wasn't B-stock - I would go for it! Been eyeing up sparkling burgundy Birds, even the recent/current faded pb, and a '12/'13 sunburst would be a treat! Just getting plans/blueprints together to build a couple of NRs. But not until after I finish...

Just so you know: the TB+ and the metal covered Gibson re-released p'ups are different sizes - take a pair of calipers to both.

Yup, those are the ones - I def recommend those tailpieces and locking studs! To be frank the bridges seem really good too, if I were building from new I'd happily use them.

I found some two-point bridge/tailpiece sets from a Chinese brand called Guyker on Amazon. They came with locking bridge posts and screws for the tailpiece - but I used longer and slightly fatter screws to get it really secure. It was about £34 and I didn't really need the bridge but the locking...

Interested in the audible difference from .047 to .022 (and there's a commonly used value in between that I can't recall) in a circuit with buckers and 500kΩ pots - can anyone enlighten me? Think I read that the value of the cap affects how much the treble turns down - but I wondered if that...

Lovely basses. Very interesting Non-Reverse - what brand is it and what's that colour?
