No i dont think "warmer" requieres mids, My bass has a very wooly warm low end thats all. Different than my heavier bodied basses wich have more mids and less "wooly warm" low end.

Well my precision has a ultra light ash body. The only thing i can say is that its warmer than my heavier basses and doesnt have much mids.

In that case buy a stingray but i ve been there and done that and one precision is the only thing you will ever need.

The "versatility" of a stingray, when i first tested a stingray I really thought you couldnt get a dark/smooth sound out of it but when i tested it i just rolled the treble down and got what i wanted.
