Oh sorry I thought a broadcast was also a pre-amp pedal? Is it truly more of an overdrive?

Quick question here: I have an Ictineo and love the sound it gives. Would you all say the Broadcast makes it obsolete or can they compliment each other? Also my instinct says Ictineo -> Broadcast rather than the other way. What are your thoughts?

    Digitech Bass Whammy V2 Mids

Hey guys -- long-time, first-time. Thanks in advance for the help. I just got a Bass Whammy, and love the tracking. My only question is for those of you with one (or any other octave pedal), do you notice a severe mid scoop? My untrained ear tells me it seems to be emitting mostly sub...

    Worship Bass Pedalboards

Cool! I hope it didn't sound like I was being critical, I'm sure it sounds awesome, I just hadn't seen that before so wanted to hear what it was like. I bet the Ictineo going into the meatbox really clears it up!

Looks like you've got some great stuff! I've always seen people run the Ictineo last (or just before DI). I've never used one, so pardon my ignorance, but what is tonal advantage in running it into your octaver and booster, rather than after?

    Pedals for tone shaping

Haven't tried this one, but Southampton's Fifth gear does this flawlessly. No word for it but tone magic. Makes subsequent pedals sound awesome too.

    SS/BS Mini. Active basses.

Hey Blindrabbit. I'm looking for something to cover sounds between my 3leaf You're Doom and my Fifth Gear V2... I think this pedal is my answer. What do you think?

    NPD Southampton Ictineo

So I'm late to the southampton party and just got my Fifth Gear this weekend. I AM ABSOLUTELY INTERESTED IN THE ICTINEO. And honestly anything SP makes. I heard blindrabbit call it an always on pedal earlier. Is it more gainy than the FG? Which would be the low gain option between the two if...

    Updated Southampton Fifth Gear

I'm here just to say how much I love my new Fifth Gear V2.:hyper: I've played with it only for a couple hours during band practice, and didn't get to experience much beyond the famous sweet spot and then lower gain with the heat knob slightly turned up. It sounds awesome, and I can't wait to...

    Updated Southampton Fifth Gear

Maybe this isnt the right forum for this, but i figured id ask while were on the subject. What does phase inversion do and will it cause any problems? How common is it for a pedal to do that?

    Do I need a buffer?

+1 on the patch cables. I got the solderless lava cable tightropes and I noticed a major difference in my sound. I believe boss pedals act as buffers, so you may be good since you have that CEB-3 conveniently midway through your chain. I would try cables first, and then get a buffer after that...

    Analog Octavers.

I use them for getting better sustain by playing up on the neck. Also some lines beg to be doubled down an octave (Cochise is one imo). Free recommendation: The Octabvre mkii. Sounds like an OC-2 with better tracking, and has that sub-octave isolation switch.
