This suggests it's not shielded or shielded properly. If the noise goes away when you touch the strings it is definitely not being caused by a non humbucking Jazz pickup as that is a classic example of lack of shielding.

I don't really see Dingwall. I see a Fender embracing a current trend. And since it looks like a weird Fender and not something completely new it will likely reach a bigger market historically shy of the unfamiliar.
