I would check out the Spector legend 6 as well.

My understanding is that the ray35's use all the same parts/hardware are the MIA stingrays so I would think it would be the same. Mine came with the same Ernie Ball strings that the stingrays come with as well. I don't have a MIA stingray to A/B though.

Ahh my bad. See where the cab was was made, I think this cab was MIA, if so the ampegs that are MIA are known for being built very solid. As far as replacement drivers, i would contact ampeg and ask them about availability and price. If they don't stock them any more, they're probably...

As far as sound this cab is known for being able to produce low frequencies (lower than most 410s and some 15s) but some also say it's "boomy". I personally like mine for how the low B sounds through it. These are $750ish new so $300 is a good deal on one, what year was it made?

If you're looking for all tube maybe look at a used Traynor YBA200 or a Peavey VB-2. They are on the "cheaper" side of all tube amps and are 200W & 225W respectively.

I love my Peavey VB-2. Haven't had it that long though and I haven't heard the other amps, but I think it's a solid value and sounds great. Also MIA if you care. It's 225W, the engineer who built the prototype is on the forums and said the power section is beefy enough that you can retube it...

Was at my local GC yesterday and they have the LMII on clearance for $549.99. The guy in this thread: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=532434 picked one up from their GC for $499.99. So looks like you can save $50-$100 right now if you don't mind picking up the LMII vs. the III.

I'm sure you could adapt a PC liquid cooling system to use in an amp, sounds like a fun project if you either have one laying around or have the money/time to burn. Last I checked decent liquid cooling system for PCs were around $200 though and that's a new pedal or 2.
