Just wondering if you have ever been asked to go on the show, or if you would have any interest in being a guest. As a bass player who is into recording I think you would make a good guest on the show.

This video was a big help for me to decide was well as playing one at a store and working a cash job for a while. I bought a 55-02 used and i love it!

also the 610 fits in my Corolla and fit in my Accord

I own the 610 and have played through an 810 a fair amount. I find the 610 to have a tighter sound overall. While you can get a lot of low end it dosen't seem to have the room filling super low over tone type of sound that the 810 has. I have been to soooooooooo many shows where the bass ruins...

I would start with setup, it is just as important to how you hit the strings. First yes how you create the note but secondly is what happens to the string after you hit it. Low action get you closer to the pickups and to the frets that makes a huge impact on the attack of your tone. higher...

The bass does seem to have a natural scoop to it. As far as big amp goes I do have a ampeg vr and svt 610 I havent even used with this band! Another major factor I need to consider is that I am standing in front of the amp with my ears four feet above the speakers ao it might project better...

preamp and pickups used in Lakland basses. I have a 55-02.

Anyone else have a problem with cutting through when slapping. my volume doesn't drop from the amp. I play through an AG500 and db 210 or a Traynor tube amp with a 15 at practice. When i bring my jazz or deluxe precision i don't have this problem. Compression doesn't seem to help me much...

You'll have many other options. Most of which will also be cheaper. But they are two really good brands

I listened to those when you posted them. They sound great in the warwick. I own a thumb and it's a sound that for me is in another world from Lakland. I live in an area where i don't get to try much of anything. Thanks for the input.

I know you had some Delano pickups. how do they com pare to the SGD. i was really into getting Delanos but they seem a little sterile to me in many clips. I have never had the chance to play them my self.

I gig with just a db 210 if you are through a pa it's a great monitor. I haven't had a problem yet where it isn't loud enough by it's self but it will happen at some point Another thing to consider it that you will always be pushing it pretty hard. Headroom is a great thing for tone and low end

The drummer of my old band for got his cymbals when we went to an expensive studio i was paying for. I also once grabbed the wrong case from a multi band show and didn't realize it until i was putting the bass into the van. Mine was a 5 string thumb this was a piece of crap.

with a lakland 44-02 or 55-02 you get both. i have the lh3 system and the humbucker sounds a lot like a musicman to me

I put an obp 3 in mine. Turn the bass knob past one and you'll have lots of lows!

That was the next post i saw after writing that. The bass sounds really good, i feel like i can really hear what the pickups are doing for the sound. I was going to put them in my thumb and precision deluxe until i bought a 55-02 might get a set in there the other basses go untouched at this point

i went from a 5 string Thumb to a 55-02. The Thumb has a very narrow neck i got used to it in a short time i like the wider neck a lot more.
