haha yeah man i've been going through a non-stop Rush obsession this past summer. i just can't get over how good they are!! :hyper:

OH GOD. it tough to say, because everything they do is good. ;) but, i'd say that my personal favorites would be Grace Under Pressure, Moving Pictures, and Presto. :bassist:

somewhat of an exaggeration, but, i guess you could say that DT is WWE whereas bands like Rush are UFC. :)

yeah, i do have to give you the fact that DT's musicianship is absolutely incredible. however, i grew tired of listening to them just because you can tell how "produced and composed" their music sounds. i'm more of a jazz fan these days, and i really admire how bassists like john patitucci and...

oh man, this is difficult... i'm gonna have to name a few here: "Rock with You"- Micheal Jackson- bobby watson's amazingly underrated bass playing opened my mind to funk and jazz "Freddie Freeloader"- Miles Davis- really easy tune, but so much fun to play!!! :hyper: really made me realize...

yeah, i agree with this... they've lost their "listenability", if they ever had it in the first place :smug: i think they're AMZAING. but, there's a point where you gotta stop and re-evaluate whether or not you're actually listening to music. there are bands out there like thought chamber...

dude, you know, i don't really listen to metal that much anymore (i'm going through a Jazz/ Prog Rock phase), but your band is SOLID. you're timing is impeccable, and i love how your bass player is able to cut through the mix. GOOD WORK!!! :cool:

yeah, i have to agree with the sentiments represented here. i used to be really into DT, but, as time has gone on, they have failed repeatedly to surprise longtime listeners. it's really kind of a shame. :crying: initially, i liked Black Clouds and Silver Linings, but i have to agree with...

D'Addario 6-string light gauge Prosteels are what i like to hear. they're bright, they last super long, and they're light- enough gauge to play funk, but heavy enough for rock styles as well. :bassist:
