This week I suffered 2 severe lacerations on the back of my middle and ring fingers of my left hand. The extensor tendon was severed on my middle finger and will require surgery to repair. I’m not going to be playing for quite some time, so I’m curious if anyone else has experienced an injury...

Just an update, ended up going with the Faitals and I’m extremely happy with my choice. Thanks for all the input from everyone!

It blew while running it with an Acoustic 320 head, eq’d pretty flat, volume around 5, and a big muff.

These are Eminence. They lasted one practice with me.

Hahahaha, I know! This guy has some impressive stuff. Mostly P.A. and high end hifi gear. Figure the JBL’s are worth picking up and flipping if I don’t like them.

Yeah, I know. I’ve read about a few people using them for bass cabs with great results though. They also seem indestructible, which is something I need.

Yes, it does have the impedance selector switch. I’m sure either would work fine, simply interested in perspective from people who have experience with these 2 specific speakers and what they like about them.

New Amp Day! Scored an excellent condition 320/406 set up to add to my 370/301 rig.

Scored a blackface Fender deluxe and a polytone mini brute IV in the same garbage can once. Traded them both for a full years rent to my roommate at the time.

I also use flats, that being said I play in more of a doom/stoner type band.

The beauty of the ODB is that it’s so natural sounding. For me it’s like the Klon of bass. It can get huge and brutal, just not very harsh. I’d think something like a modded HM2 would get you what you’re looking for.

This is actually my favorite and the one I use on my pedalboard. Built by my buddy at sonically speaking. It has a low pass filter and a clean blend along with switchable diode options, 2nd stage clipping selector, and tone bypass. It’s a monster.

Traynor Bassmaster is the best example I can think of.

I kind of inherited this cabinet from my bands old bass player, not sure how I feel about it. Currently running a Sunn 300T through it and it just seems to be lacking something, but maybe it’s the room we practice in? Just looking for opinions on this cabinet cause I can’t find a lot of info on it.

Bi amping with an actual bass amp will give you awesome results. For recording I use an old Laney Klipp through an Emperor 6x12 in addition to my Sunn 300T through an 8x10 and 1x18. Sounds massive.

Anyone deal with real microphonic 370’s? I get intermittent crackling on both of mine and when I tap on the front panel it’s extremely audible through the speaker.
