Looks great. It might be 106 cab from the 70's. Others will know for sure.
Man, that would be rad to know! I sold my ampeg stuff awhile ago and this cab fell in my lap a few months after i sold it, almost sold my fender bullet bass.. glad I didn't
Definitely older than my cabs (76') but I'm not sure. I do know the answer is already somewhere in this very thread so...

They made the 106 cabinet from roughly 1970-early 1976, but there are two clues to indicate it's from the last year or two of that range:
- 2nd generation style white piping around the perimeter of the grill.
- The top speaker appears to have a white dust cap

No question since your cabinet has a 2nd generation metal 106 logo strip across the top. It's missing on his, but a cabinet with that kind of white piping and white dust cap speakers would have had one originally.
@JacklegBass, what would this thread do/be without you? You have such a wealth of knowledge and so willing to share and educate on this 'lost info'.

Had to make some space in the garage.
It's funny how the 406w looks like a dwarf next to the 408. Only cab missing in the pic is the 402. It's my current low-volume practice cab in combination with the 270
New plans to really finish the 408. Will replace the (bad) jack connector to a double system, where the first one fires the two front speakers, and the other one the two middle ones. This openes the possibility to use the cab on 4 ohms also. Also the doors need to go and be replaced with clips. Considering to scavange a bit from the (unloaded) 201. The white piping I will not use, it looks better without in combination with the alu domes of the K140s
