when u purchase a new bass how long does it usualy take u to feel 100% comftorable on it.

Hey I got a mim jazz bass I am thinking about ripping out the stock pickups and possibly putting in seymoure duncans (prob miss spelled that) or basslines. I also am thinking about upgrading the bridge. My question is, is it worth it how much more different would the bass sound??
