Today, i swapped my Krivo pickup with Schaller, and for my type of music, it sounds better. ITs mellower and not so present in highs... On tuesday, im getting Zadow pickup... And on friday ill have a pickup shootout in studio and then on a gig :))) Anyone has any experience with vintage...

At the moment.... if i make action higher, i get better sound... but its harder to play. Will i be able to have ORchestral strings at lower action for good sound? Pyramid strings sound thin on low action... :/

What about Daddario Helicore ORchestral strings?

FLexocores are from Thomastik? Those with blue wrapping? I think i already had those back in a day :) NExt week i will be "testing" some old strings - spirocores, some no name strings, my pyramid strings... to see the difference.

Im making my own Warmoth Jazz bass, and im gonna have to put bridge on it.. but im not sure where to place it.. Should i set saddles somewhere in the middle of the availiable space ( for settign intonation) and position it on 34" from Nut? How do you do it? Any comment apprecieated! Thank you!

They are about 1/2 inch away. MAybe its the pickup.. im using the magp ickup from jflojazz, forum member.

Hello! After 2 months of playing, i think Daddarios are very good! MAybe they contain a bit small amount of steel, since they are very quiet on the magnetic pickup... Who knows :)

Yeah, there have been several swaps on 55-01, but 55-02 uses Lakland USA electronics, thats why i wonder, if i could get any plus on sound of passive magnets from Nordstrand.
