I have small hands and play a Dingwall. I can all the stretches you can imagine just fine (well, the realistic ones...). It's more a matter of practice and technique than anything else.

Those pickups are the switchable between series/parelel in regards to internal wiring, aren't they? So, are they basically two FD3s that can be switched to Mach IIs? Because I think the "PJ" set has a Mach II in the bridge.

Just checked the FEAlabs Dual Band Distortion. From the video I saw it seems a lot more fizzy/grainy than the video. More artificial sounding. However, the multiband function seems fantastic.

I think this has already been answered. But the answer is a no, because (IIRC) the scale length required for a consistent low F# would be too big.

I know it's a matter of taste, so please don't be offended but... The VB-2's OD channel is one of the worse sounds I've heard (from soundclips, never played one).

The bass looks great! And so does the amp with the blue! Also, nice taste in cabinets (I have the same one, I think). From the soundclips of Nordstrand's MM it seems to sound a bit dark to me. I remember liking the sound of a Delano MM very much.

It's like everything, if done right it's fabulous, otherwise, it's meh.... IMO, I think it is a necessary skill for anyone who plays bass. And walking does have rhythm variations (skips, triplets, etc). I think you all should try to hear some spiced up walking bass, not just the upright...

The SRs I've played all had terribly floppy B strings, really weak in that aspect, but that's just my experience.

From my experience Yamaha's basses were always better instruments in relation to Ibanez's. This, of course, regarding the same price range. I would be more interested in the BTB line, and it's more alike to the TRBs than the SRs. TRBs and BTBs have 35" scales, so they tend to have better B...
