I have a fretless L2000 bass, SN B 009066, making it a 1982 model. Personally, I have never seen such an old fretless L2000. Does anybody know ,when the fretless production begun for G&L? Any idea also about the woods used ? Fretboard should be ebony, how about body?

This is a picture before fixing and although the photo angle is somehow misguiding us, probably the neck needed some repositioning here. However, I dismantled the neck from body too and I think I have fixed it now , but will have a second look tonight (to be certain)

This is the picture of the bass fully intonated The G string misalignment with pickup poles still remains. I adjusted the pup height from G side and there is a sgnificant increase in loudness indeed. Anyway, I will also try the next gig to test it 100%.

Another thought! Is there any possibility that the problem is not the size of the saddles but the size of the two holding bolts. Maybe they have changed (they look rusted too)...

I have already tried that starting with e setting on the post. The problem is that all 4 do not fit between the posts. They stuck up to a certain point and cannot be moved further

Are we certain that all stingray bridges saddles fit between the bolts when aligned?

The original owner insists he has never changed the saddles. Anyway, I tried to align them and all 4 of them do not fit between the two large mounting bolts (PIC1). If pressed to tight them the D string holding bolt cannot be seated properly (PIC2). If I loose the E saddle it is obvious...

ok clear . Saddles need rearrangement . How about the pup height? E side should be higher than G side? And how about pup poles height? G poles are lower compared to E and A. Should all poles be at same level?
