I play just about every week at a large church, we do use some computer/loops, which requires us to stay with a click. We have it set to a nice medium woodblock sound, so it's not annoying in your IEM. I just pretend that there's an invisible percussionist with perfect time playing with us.

I love my Bass Soul Food, gives me plenty of drive without being harsh.

My Squier Vintage Modified fretless Jazz neck has the structural rigidity of a half-cooked noodle...I pretty much have to give it a truss rod tweak one way or the other just about every time I play it in order to keep the action where I want it.

King's X and Galactic Cowboys.....killer musicianship, excellent vocals, great mix of styles from both bands. Most musicians dig them, but hardly anyone else knows anything about them.

I did Never Gonna Stop Singing with a pick the first few times we did it, but then the drummer and I funkified the arrangement a bit and I've been using fingers, with some envelope filter and octave.

The Tech21 is great live...It's built around a Sansamp, with a compressor, boost, octave/fuzz/filter, and a chorus. Also has a tuner accessed by holding down the chorus footswitch. I usually set up my basic sound with the Sansamp on, and then set my levels so I have a useable sound with it off...

I'm more of a Pink Cream 69 fan...David Readman has a hell of a voice and the songs are pretty solid.

I play guitar sometimes....I use a 5-watt all tube amp that has 1 12AX7 and 1 EL34 and an 8-inch speaker. Mic'd up it works great and NO ONE will ever have to tell me to turn down.

We have 2 room mics that we can mix into our IEMs at our church....sounds really awesome when the congregation starts to get into a favorite song.

Hi! It's a great bass, balances nicely on the strap, not too heavy on the shoulder...I usually run both pickups balanced, with a little bass boost, and mids and highs flat. Gives a good basic sound that works with pick, fingers, or slap. I really like the sound with the bridge pickup soloed...

In order of importance...my bass, my vocal if I'm singing, click, guitars and lead vocal, keys and acoustic, and a little kick and snare.

I've played 6 strings since 1998 as my main basses, you get used to it. I tend to strap it up a little higher to take some strain off the wrist compared to where I play a 4 string.

I use a Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig direct, so I still have some tone-shaping abilities, but don't have to pack my amp around.

I just bought the Ibanez BTB686SC Terra Firma.....absolutely love it, gave away my Carvin LB20 to make room in my collection, (and to keep my wife from going ballistic about having 4 basses.) I don't think I'll be needing an upgrade any time soon.

I kind of go in between the two.....I run a 1/4 out of the preamp out on the amp into a Whirlwind DI. Lets me get my tone out to FOH without having a fight with the sound man.
