OEM usually also implies that it was a special order/design not available to the general public as an individual speaker - you could only get that speaker by buying the cab it came in. Sometimes it's with the proprietary design specs to make a better product, sometimes it's just to cut costs.

I'm not sure if you're implying that it's just the section dividers that could have been particle board, but I assure you in this cab everything was particle board except for the front baffle. here's a pic of the inside top back corner, where the towel bar would be

On stage volumes have caused me problems. 1, the hard drive can give you signal motion sensor, 2. 1/8" jacks can easily vibrate themselves out of place. Even external USB or Firewire soundcards won't solve that problem because the USB & Firewire jacks don't lock in (like an XLR or CAT5 cable).

I think it's a bad marketing decision. if fender keeps SWR, GB & fender items on the shelf they triple their exposure to unknowing clients (lets be honest, most clients fall into that catagory). the illusion of choice and variety evaporates if it all becomes just fender. ha well, i've heard of...

the 810 have 32ohm speakers. if the 410 has the same speakers you won't be able to wire it to 2ohms.

I've always suspected the major perk of the 810 was the 4' high cab. speakers pointed at your ears always sound better then the ones pointed at your knees. I would recommend people to try just the top half of your 810 and see how that compares to what pleases you. having a built in 'stand' is...

if all you want to do is compare your two cabs, why don't you plug them both in at the same time, don't stack them but place them near each other put pointing in different directions. moving your body to stand in front of one or the other should give you a ball park idea of what's coming from...

seeing as you have both the 2X15 & the 4X12, would you be able to tell me how much high frequency you get out of each cab with the horns turned off (i just don't like horns but I want the high frequencies)

The AV is essentially the SVT classic but with the silver cosmetics. The VR is like the original 4hole SVT amps. The VR has two channels and no master volume. I have a VR because I prefer the tone and doesn't sound as congested as the classic.

many artists used to use the Orange Or120 as a keyboard amp I could also recommend a hiwatt DR103 both are great guitar asmps

anyone know the crossover frequency for the horn? what I want to know is how high does it go without the horn.

Seeing as I'm looking for something comparable to the NV412 I doubt the CN212 (or two of them) are going to be the same voicing. I'm more interested in the prospective NV15/8. Like JRG high volumes are a must for me too. I'll wait for more details.
