    Epiphone Zenith

they are very hard to find, unfortunately. The issue is that the bottom knob is recessed on the inside so that the top knob can seat properly. Good luck with your search! interestingly enough, I experienced the same sticky substance problem with the knobs, and even with a set of replacement...

    Epiphone Zenith

I’m not sure if it’s made in fretless. Never heard of that, lefty, yes. Anyway, you will not regret purchasing one. I’ve owned two, still have a 20th anniversary one and will never part with it!

    Country Bassist Club

You’re right! This group is pretty dead! In the last few months I was asked to play bass for a country band that was in need of a remodeling! The drummer is someone that I work with in another project, so I said yes. Brought with me a good friend who plays pedal steel, six string, lap steel and...

    Epiphone Zenith

The nanomag is attached with some sort of double faced tape. You can use the 3M automotive trim adhesive tape commonly available in auto parts stores. I have the La Bella black tape wounds that were OE. It’s a string through design so extra long is what you need.

New Aguilar Special Edition Cab Colors

My Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe is Surf Pearl Satin which is a very close match to the Poseidon Green. I already have an Aguilar SL 212 in black. Do I dare do it?

It is tough to sing while you play the bass

I, too, have started singing in the bands I play in, but only harmonies/backing vocals and only if the bass line is easy!

    TapeWound Club~Anyone?

The numbered ‘dice’ aren’t meant to be used to identify the strings! Get rid of them! They aren’t what is commonly referred to as the ‘ball end’, those are just to make sure you put the right gauge strings in the right position!

How did you get turned onto Hollowbody basses ?

Any experience ordering from KellingSound? (EDIT--SOLVED!)

Yeah, he's not so good about replies, I asked a question regarding fitment of the upgrade on my EB3, never heard from him. Even though he recommended checking the dimensions to make sure, he didn't provide any measurements to check against, so I had to trust it would. It did, except for the...

    Praise for KellingSound Wiring Harness

I'm on my second Kellingsound electronics upgrade. The first was on my Epiphone EB3, which gave me a four position switch and a greater range of tones. Now I have just ordered a classic '60's set for a jazz bass build.

    Hollowbody Bass Club!

Yes, problem is that the body of the Zenith is just a little smaller than the JC, so it will wiggle around some, but otherwise it’s okay.

    Epiphone Zenith

You’re going to have plenty of time to save up for the Zenith fretless! They are as rare as hens teeth! I had to resort to defretting my Zenith to accomplish this, and I have to say it was worth the effort!

    JACK CASADY BASS PLAYERS CLUB!

Interesting. Moving the neck back would help reduce neck dive, and the less perpendicular angle of the rear mounting bolts should reduce the risk of pulling the inserts out. Looks like a good solution to both issues. Although it appears that the insert is pulling up on the picture you posted. On...

    Allen Eden Bass Guitar?

I have recently assembled a new bass based on the Eden body, which I purchased on eBay. This was to be my leftover parts bass project, as I had bunches of stuff laying around. I figured that I could supplement what I need to complete this with the least expensive parts I could find! Well, for a...

Does anyone actually have Jack Casady bass and use a gig bag?

My first JC was purchased used and came to me in a Mono soft case. My second one was purchased new and (being the 20th anniversary edition) came with the gig bag. I have subsequently sold both of them because I wasn’t using them in favor of a hard shell case.
  24. MrBassman17

    JACK CASADY BASS PLAYERS CLUB!

Use Dean Markley Blue Steel’s, the only one Jack recommends. Have never had either of those problems, in fact I have never had any issues with either of my JC’s!

    Tapewound’s On An Active Jazz?

I am mating a new Fender jazz neck and Deluxe Active jazz body, and was considering a set of Tapewound strings for it. It’s going to have flats either way, but I thought Tapewound’s would be interesting. Any thoughts pro or con?

    Gibson bass with Casady body?

Well I don’t think that is a JC body. Horns are all wrong, there are two pickups and no varitone switch.

Bugera Veyron T head over 210 & 115 cabs, thats my Epiphone EB3 next to it!
  34. MrBassman17

Burgera 115 cab. Is it really that good?

Ok, translation would be the ‘T’ stands for ‘tube’, or ‘valve’. The Veyron head comes in either the T or ‘M’ standing for MOSFET or solid state. I assume you know what 210 and 115 refers to! Hope this helps!
  35. MrBassman17

Burgera 115 cab. Is it really that good?

I am currently using the 115 with the 210 driven by the Veyron T head as my ‘big rig’, and I have to say that I have never had any better setup than this. My previous rig was Ampeg SVT7 Pro head into a pair of Ampeg 115 HE cabs. By comparison, the Bugera blows the Ampeg out of the water!

    Bugera Rig Question

The 2000 watts is under a 4 ohm load, and the BT 210 is 8 ohms, so even given that the BT210 could handle the rated wattage, the head is only putting out much less. I have the Veyron tube version running through a BT 210 and BT115 so the head is seeing 4 ohms, and I have had no issues at all...

AGUILAR | I need help with buying heads and cabs

I currently am using the TH 350 with a pair of GS 112 cabinets. I had one, and it sounded great, but found a great deal on a second one, so why not? Right? The pair are awesome, and the TH 350 has no problem pushing them! I say go for that.

    Great Tone Hammer 500 Settings

I have had my TH 350 for only a few days, and so far, it has been blowing my mind with it's versatility! I have it through an Aguilar GS 112 cab, with a Carvin 210 cab. Amazing tone. Today I played my Dean Exotica acoustic and it has never sounded so good!
