What is the closest model head to the ampeg SVT II non pro head?

That makes sense. I just got back after a while to check up. So, I'm assuming this doesn't include those mini heads either?

What is the closest model head to the ampeg SVT II non pro head?

What's the final consensus on which amp (with the master dimed and gain used to control volume) gets closest to SVT II non pro? VR, CL, II PRO?

What is the closest model head to the ampeg SVT II non pro head?

For some reason I could not. And is this true, diming the master and controlling volume with gain, will basically sound like the 2 non pro? What difference does the graphic EQ make, if I may ask? I've never seen one prior to this head.

What is the closest model head to the ampeg SVT II non pro head?

So, which model is the II a rack mountable version of? I'll look into one of those, whichever it may be. I also hear there's smaller versions of several models but I'm not sure if those are up to snuff with the big brother versions.

Jason newsted metallica live 1992 1993 tone

Just to end this part of the discussion if its confirmed, the general consensus is SVT II head for live performances around 93?

Jason newsted metallica live 1992 1993 tone

Id heard SVT II a lot. It would make a LOT of sense that that would be the head I've been trying to confirm and while in the list part of that site it says III the text on the rack appears to read II so that's getting closer to narrowing it down.

Hmm, id seen that. It said mid 90s iirc.. I guess it's safe to say he probably had been using those. Do you think those were the heads he used early 90s too? I don't see why he'd just switch, so hopefully that answers it.

Been on that site a decent bit :) got some good info from there but wanted confirmation and specifics if anyone knew. And hmm, I've heard mixed answers between either SVT2 or SVT III pro... Wonder which one he used live in the early 90s most? And I've heard labella too, but on some sites it...

Jason Newsted 1992 1993 live sound

Haha yes, he's my favorite living bassist. Favorite overall tied with Cliff burton and Pete steele. Really admire him as a bassist and musician and person. His tones and basses and rigs he uses to get them are also something else. I like the hair too, haha. :)

Jason newsted 1992 1993 live metallica tone

I'm really really hooked on Jason's tone from the 1993 live in Basel disposable heroes video, and his bass solos from that year. Sounds fairly similar in 92 as well. I know he used Alembic basses specifically spoilers and persuaders many of which were converted to series two electronics. He used...

He used DR black beauties but also used dean markleys. He used green picks that very much resemble Dunlop tortex green standard picks. Pete was a family friend of ours along with carnivore, so I can ask my sources to find out more about what other stuff the big guy used.
