    Darkglass teasing a new product

Am sure they’d sell more with a basic ‘model list’ of what’s actually in it with the current software? 😂 +1 to all the requests over how good the pitch tracking (or drop tuning for some) is. Should be a great unit even though I’m only a recent adopter of the Fractal VP4 😬

Show me your compact pedalboard setup

This is the package I bought. Check the bottom left cable 😮🤘🏼 I bought directly from their website for a much better deal in the UK. Delivery took a bit longer but saved some cash that way.

Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Exactly! Absolute winner and totally off of everyone’s radar so far. Need to test it thoroughly next but if it meets expectations, we’ve got a much cheaper (and smaller) option to the wonderful Cioks units. Was too tired from work to wire everything up this afternoon so, will report back in a...

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Yes, that’s the correct. Adjusting the input impedance doesn’t seem to help though for me anyway
  7. Andy Will

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Very true, tried that but seems the input gain adjustment is the only thing that mitigates the issues so far.
  8. Andy Will

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Wouldn’t an input pad like those found on the front of an amp be great in the QC? Then those with a hotter bass wouldn’t need to adjust the input gain in every capture. My bass is pretty hot so similar issues as mentioned above with most captures distorted. Only a thought, but very little...

    Aguilar announcement

The only useful thing they could add right now would be an refined/updated Tonehammer pedal with the headphone input and possibly Cab sim’s (still not a big fan yet). For the rest, just get the damned prices down again, especially in the U.K. Totally priced out of the game currently. Still...

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Assuming you’ve tried raising the pickup(s) a mm or two, or lowering the action of those two strings slightly first? Using a compressor to fix a common setup issue is a bit of a ‘sledgehammer to crack a walnut’ approach, which can only assist to a certain degree without heavy compression levels.

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Excellent, thank you! Have done a few more tweaks and also suspect the 1/4 adaptor for the headphones might not have been seated correctly so, some improvements. Still sounds like the in-ears (KZ ZS10’s) are reaching the low end peak of their capabilities but wanted to check everything before...

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Thank you so much for the reply. That’s great to hear. Just to check, what kind of in-ears are you using? Hopefully can troubleshoot around the issues I’ve encountered to see if I’ve missed something

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Am sure it’s been discussed before (have been reading this thread since day one) and have googled like crazy, but anyone tried in-ears direct into the headphone socket of the QC, just for practicing and refining presets etc. Just tried it out and damn it sounded awful with a pair of KZ ZS-10’s...

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Recent QC purchase here too. Bought the Neural gigcase and it messes with my OCD too much (UK plug doesn’t quite fit in the slot and find it too bulky) so, got this on Ali Express for £17.99 including postage Lol

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

What are you QC owners using to practice with at home in terms of studio monitors or in-ears that you’d recommend? The normal bass rigs and Powered P.A. Speakers, I’m aware of. Just trying to avoid keeping the unit if I’m only going to be running it though the my Aguilar rig at home to hear it...

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Just got mine today. Saw one was in stock yesterday and boom….. Also having mixed feelings on the unit similar to the chap above. Slightly fuzzy or unnatural sounding E string but think the output source is key to it sounding great. Don’t think my M-Audio monitors or Shure SE-215 in-ears are up...

Was great to have it in my hands though short lived haha. Ibanez are really on to something here if they just get the factory sorted out.

    New Ibanez (headless, multiscale)

So, I quietly joined the club this morning with the arrival of an EHB1005MS. Positives: really cool and sounds better than most of the YouTube clips (Remy Hansen’s was the best example but am biased as he’s a friend lol). The fanned fretting is great and the neck is cool even though slightly...

    An Aguilar Legend... Reimagined

Everything in the image looks like the AG500 so 're-imagined' could be to take it down to the size of the TH500. Certainly interested if it is. Just sure it would be obscene pricing in the U.K. For whatever it is right now :rollno:

Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

Maybe a silly question and apologies if it has been asked already. How good is the pitch tracking/tone on the shifter mode for the Nemesis? Also, can the delay time be dropped low enough to 'just' use it as a pitch shifter? (Double duty from one pedal ) My main interest is in the octave down...

    Aguilar DB410 + TH500.

Works absolutely fine unless you have a deaf guitarist (thankfully not all are haha!). If you really need more later on, a DB210 opens it up even more. Your ears will be very pleased...... Enjoy!

    Aguilar

Here's another option to do things in the most economical way....... 1) Sell the SVT3 as it's greatly under powered by today's standards unfortunately. Used to own one years back and loved the tone but had to choose cabs carefully due to the low volume. Also let the 410 go to free up some cash...

I wish that Aguilar amps and DI could be a headphone amp too.

There are so many cheap and simple ways to make a piece of gear compatible with headphones that I personally am glad there aren't headphone or MP3 jacks on Aguilar's Tonehammer gear. Four reasons I can think of to start with are: 1) The amp/pedal would need to be bigger to make space for more...

    WHOA...Digitech The Drop

No problem. Have been a massive Whammy fan for many non-obvious uses for years now so love seeing how the revisions have been panning out. Thank you Digitech for making such a fun tool (no pun intended) and creative wonder! Another link that's 'kinda' good for comparing with the Morpheous is...

    WHOA...Digitech The Drop

Hey Adamixoye, Was probably me making that suggestion! ;) The polyphonic feature wasn't introduced until the Whammy DT, then carried into the Whammy V and subsequently the New Bass Whammy as 'Chords' mode. Would only try one of these 3 newest pedals to test drop tuning. All of these plus the...

    B-wham vs H9 (finally)

You can find more information in the Eventide forums if you're really interested. As for the drop pedal. It's probably worth heading to a local pedal store and giving one of the new Whammy's a whirl in Chords mode. It's going to be very similar (if not identical in most modes) to what you'll...

    B-wham vs H9 (finally)

Am only quoting the actual technical capabilities of the H9 as specified by an Eventide representative. Most octavers (particularly digital) will pull off a certain degree of what you call 'quasi-polyphonic' capabilities however, the polyphonic capabilities of the Whammy V and New Bass Whammy...

    B-wham vs H9 (finally)

I'm quite happy 90% of the time on Classic mode. The other 10% would be the rare occasion I actually need the polyphonic capabilities. Both modes are awesome though and only takes a whole millisecond to flick the switch, so why mod anything? Also, the Chords mode won't quite sound like the...

    B-wham vs H9 (finally)

Awesome. Even being a massive Eventide fan owning the Eclipse, several factor pedals and the H9, I have still always relied on a Whammy (original Bass version, IV and V) for best tracking and pitch shifting duties. So, glad to hear someone finally agrees! Still need to test the new Bass Whammy...

    WHOA...Digitech The Drop

+1 on the above question and also is it similar to the Whammy V or modified? Still on the fence about switching from the Whammy V to the Bass Whammy, even after A/B'ing them for a while. Would like the Drop pedal as the main octave (harmony) on my smaller/main board. Actually prefer the...

Whammy V vs Bass Whammy. Anybody compared them already?

Many thanks for your post! Had the chance to A/B the Whammy V and Bass Whammy for a while today and found the V is still better for me. Think for anyone that doesn't own a Whammy already, the Bass version is a great option. The only downside I found was that some of the harmonies were less...

Whammy V vs Bass Whammy. Anybody compared them already?

Excellent, have also owned all the previous variations (with the original Bass Whammy being the worst). Love the Whammy V and was on the fence about whether I should make a loss on selling it to fund the new Bass Whammy. Anyone able to describe how the tone is better on the new Bass Whammy vs...

    Eventide H9

Yes indeed Sir, fits nicely underneath the Pedaltrain. Good point, forgot to mention I have a Diago Isolator before the H9 for this purpose. Should be fine as long as you don't have another high current digital pedal in the Daisy chain.
