I bought this bass in the spring for a project that was starting...and has since fizzled.
It's a great bass, but I just feel much more comfortable on a 4-string
At the time I ordered it, there were several EHB1265MS available on the Guitar Center website.
I zeroed in on the EHB1265MS because I...
In excellent condition, and plays like an absolute dream. Some light scratches on the pickups, but that’s it. These are hard to find used, especially one with these unique specs.
This essentially has Wal bass-esque electronics, but with a multi-scale. Huge Tool-style tones out of this bass...
This is my Dingwall Custom Shop ABZ that I purchased for my studio. It has seen very little use. The only blemish worth noting is a very small ding on the neck (photographed). It is luckily in a place where you cannot feel it while playing. It plays beautifully. $4900. No trades, but open to...

Up for sale is a basically brand new Dingwall JT3 bass - comes with amazing Dingwall heavy duty gig bag and all case candy! This is one of the best Dingwall's to play due to the Rupert Neve preamp, and has incredible playability! Set up well with low action. Priced cheaper than any other I could...
Today I offer up for sale a lovely Dingwall ABZ4. This beauty is a light weight at 7.3lbs! FD-3 4L pickups, passive w/ Volume - 4 way selector - passive tone. Currently strung BEAD with Dingwall Nickels.
There's a couple of nicks on the back of the upper horn, and a small mark on the back on...
Okay, so I recently got a Dingwall. Then I sold it. Then I decided to give Dingwall one more chance and bought a JT-3. They are great basses, sound great, and I was able to adjust to the fanned frets and extended scale without too much trouble. But...
The VERY annoying thing for me (when it...
Here is a beautiful 2025 Dingwall Z3 in Explosion Burst. I’ve only owned this for a few months, it’s in perfect condition. This bass is Incredible. Not only in looks, but in tone and playability as well. Very versatile in sound, will be a killer instrument for any style you play. The neck is...
Selling my Limited Edition Dingwall ABII AB2 6-string. This is part is a 2007 limited run of 12 basses and I believe is the only 6 they made in the series with a cocobolo top. Includes certificate and Dingwall gig bag. They are unlikely to make one like this again due to the challenges created...
I am picking up a EHB1265MSNML today (Link below).
I want to replace the stock strings, but I have no idea what I should be looking for. This will be my first ever 5 string and my first ever Multi-scale. So I'm a newb at this, and I'm looking for advice on what "Off the shelf" strings would...
For sale I have a MihaDo Fingybass. This is a six string headless super short scale and multiscale 25"/23" bass, which makes it quite unique. Perfect for travel or for those just looking for something different. These basses are made in Poland and the build quality overall is really great. It's...

Hi,
I am a EADGC player with a 34" regular scale bass. I like having the low notes I use to have in my 4 string bass. I like not having a very sympathetic low B to control. And I rarely use lower notes than E, and when I do I can tap on my pedalboard to get it. I like playing some chords and I...
Got the chance to demo the latest bass from the Swedish brand Woodo Guitars :)
Some more info about the bass: Woodo Guitars
Woodo Guitars have been around since about 2007/2008. I got my first six string bass from them back in 2008 (which I've modded with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp and custom...
Hey y'all. I recently acquired a brand new Spector Dimension 5. I'm almost head over heels for it. What's holding me back is the noise introduced when I pull the Master knob for the single coil mode. It's fine with the blend at noon but when I turn one way or the other, the problem presents...
I'm currently on the never ending search for what should be my next bass. My #1 is a Fender Ultra Precision Bass which I love. I find myself constantly switching between flats and rounds depending on the gig, as well as finding myself in need of a 5 string more and more. The thought is that I...

I have a "Brand New" (ONLY USED ONCE) Ibanez workshop bass. This bass is "as new" in the box. I took it out only to try it, then got sick and did not return the bass in time to get a refund. It has sat in it's case now for about 45 days. I played one set at one gig only and decided it just...

Hey guys,
So I just purchased a Dingwall D-roc Standard 5 from a fellow TBer, I tend to like using DR strings on my basses, not for any particular reason, a set of HI beams were the first strings I ever bought back when I had my first bass and I've never had a reason not to like...

TL;DR - I am not asking whether Multiscale is worth it because that is subjective, but, since I don’t have the opportunity to test the basses myself, I am wondering the extent of the difference an inch makes on the feel of the B string.

So, after committing to trading in my SR Special 5 and...
Now here's the real question: If the fretless is made w/ single string bridge saddles, then is fanning the frets for low turnings necessary?
My opinion is that unless your fretless is lined, then the fan effect is not needed?
What are your thoughts?
P.s. I'm currently looking to purchase a...
I'm building my first bass and being a bit ambitious with a multi scale 6 string. Just wondering what other people have used for their multi scale builds. I was looking at Kahler, but it seems really over complicated to set up. I'm a big fan of simple and clean.
So, what are your opinions on...
I’ve had this bass for a couple of months, but I just can’t get used to the fanned frets. Its never been outside the house. I’ve added Schaller Straplocks and I just put D’Adarrio XL Halfwounds on it but I will include the original round wound strings that came on the bass. It will ship with the...

I've long favoured Dingwall basses, but the one I wanted wasn't really there...
My personal preferences are like this: an old school all passive bass combining P and J, with 3/4" spacing at bridge, like old four string Fenders, but with fan fret 37" - 34" scale. Dingwall don't make to these...
Hey TBer's, up for sale is a Ibanez SRFF806 in mint condition. Used it at church periodically for a few years but other than that, it sat on a stand in my office. Purchased from Sweetwater, I passed on a bunch to get the right finish / grain. Some of these can look bland but this one has...

I know there are similar threads out there, but I couldn't find one that specifically dealt with my problem- Last year while shopping for, and planning to buy a Fender (or Fenderish) 5 string Jazz Bass, I bought a 6-string Ibanez multiscale (fan fret) SRMS806. It was a bit of an impulse...
