Maybe it's these two:

AND

The black one got repainted blue, and the red one is, well, still red...:D

(No offense to Pat Badger, whom I think is a great bassist and he seems like a cool dude! Rest In Peace is a serious JAM! I love that song!)

They'll do this from time to time, to skimp on ad costs. Until they'll get noticed from e-bay. But it is when they list too high prices that makes you click. Unbelieveable ones. And then you'll read the inventory that's down below. That's what they want. Only. There's more people clicking and looking at it, than if it was listed at 2.000 USD. I've seen one do that to a Steinberger bass, which had a "printed" top surface that could be removed. When looking close to it, it showed the companys Logo, and what the company did really sell. Listed at some 4 million dollars (or something). It had just as many views. No bids. That's all they want. For 8 million you could hire mr Mouradian for life and make him build as many basses as you'd like. For you only. I thought, that some company logo should be seen in the pix in the background but no...

And they get banned, but then it's too late. Enough people have made the click and seen it, and wondered *** that's all about. Then they (the company) start over and register another nick and carries on like that until e-bay officials takes notice, which will take a while. And on it goes. And that "while" is worthwhile for them. ;)

And you'd better believe they get enormous amount of questions asked through e-bay, and declines to anwser back. That's when they know the "ad" is working. No matter what you think of the company later on, you've heard or seen the name. Period.

I would bet your right on the money there, but I have to doubt the success of such a strategy. After seeing the listing, my first impression of this guy is that he's an idiot and I wouldn't buy a thing off of him regardless of his inventory.

Ok, just look at this thread, how many has been linked to it, and you/we even list the inventory here. I did James Lomborg a favor by pointing to his ridiculously priced Steiny as well. Better to be talked about badly, than not any talk at all. Their mission is thus accomplished, since we "aired" it here, and now we know of their inventory.

Now, how many of you think this thread would even be started, if he still had the inventory there, but the Mouradian at a mere 1.000 USD even? Or even if it was a bargain deal at 100 USD? 100 USD wouldn't turn it to a click-magnet.

We know about it just due to (or thanks to) that million dollar listing. Their mission is accomplished! The ad worked! We all took the bait!
