Hey, I live in St. Louis, that's right by Collinsville! I coulda saved $5k on shipping and thrown it in the back of my Ford Ranger!

I saw the first post, that there were 8 pages, and skipped EVERYTHING, so forgive me if it's been said, but this reeks of troll. EXACTLY a million bucks for some silly angular carved Washburn? In a crappy suburb of crappy St. Louis? Nah, that's some dude drinking a beer laughing at all the fools on Talkbass having an 8-page discussion over his $900 novelty bass.

Of course, he got a comment out of me, so who's the real winner here?

I find it ironic that I'm watching Pawn Stars right now and it's the episode with the documented Jimi Hendrix Strat he used on several albums and the guy only wants $750,000.00 for it. And of course their guitar shop appraiser says well I can't appraise it until I see if it works. So he plays it for a second and declares it all good. Of course he knows about the magazine article and agrees it's the real deal. And says $750,000-1 mil. Rick offers $600,000 REAL MONEY. That's huge. The owner says no. I wonder what that guitar sells for when it goes to auction.

This Strat was played by Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock in 1969 and was reportedly bought by Paul Allen of Microsoft in 1998 for $2m
It's nice and all, but it is no Washburn Mouradian.

I saw the only known MM string ray (pre EB) with a maple fretless neck sell for $4k. the story on it was (from memory) that there were 3 prototypes made with maple fretless from the factory one accidently got shipped out, and a customer bought it, MM realised their mistake and tried to get it back but the buyer wouldnt give it up or they couldnt reach the buyer, something like that. So it was only 1 of 3 and that thing only fetched a few G's. So why would a washburn be worth $1mil. Some people need to come back to reality haha

Edit it was 2 of 6. Here is the ad on Ebay that I saw a while back, if I had the money I would have bought it that day its just too cool.

okj got an abnswer from him , simply that he sold it off ebay and didnt know how to cancel the auction early so he made it un buyable by pricing it out of existance ...so much for alien designs
