$100 Bass Challenge - Marceline's Axe Bass

I suppose I could just email the Con - they provide a contact email for questions. But perhaps you're right.
In the mean time, my OCD got the best of me. Fixed her hands, and tuned up the bass a bit.
Today is Free Comic Book Day so we went to the local comic stores to pick up our free issues. One of the stores is Zia Records, which is primarily a used CD/vinyl/DVD store, that also carried a small inventory of musical instruments and related accessories, along with used books and comics. I've picked up a few gems from them in the past, including a rack case, and an Alessis Midiverb. I was looking for a inexpensive gig bag for the axe bass, and took a few measurements before we went out.
This was real close in the size, so I took a chance for the $12.99.
Luckily, it fit like it was made for it. The bag has a few scuffs and smears, but should work fine for a little protection to and from the Comicon.

That is a fine looking bass, an interesting amp design, and a suitable bag. Nicely done.

Thanks! I found a cool fire background on DeviantArt, and Photoshopped the Marceline figure over it. Here's a larger version.

In Comicon related news, I really wanted a red striped long sleeve shirt for my Marceline costume. The gray tank is ok, but I would have had to put on a lot of gray makeup all over my arms, shoulders, and neck, so I've been looking for the red striped shirt she wears.
Well, I found one really close on Ebay! Should be here next week.
I'll have to carefully extract the little green polo guy...

Is Marcline a lefty?
i think she plays both ways in the cartoon. Varies from scene to scene.
You would struggle to get a colour match with a sharpie. It will be easy to remove with a stitch ripper as long as you are careful not to cut into the material.

LOL Really, you'd have a hard time matching black? FWIW if you pick that design out with a ripper, even if you don't hurt the material, you will develop a hole there. The sticthes are so close together that damage was done to the material when the logo was attached. The only thing preventing a hole from developing now is the presence of the logo; remove it and all bets are off. Of course if you don't care about the shirt once comicon is over then, NeveRmiND.
EDIT: Even if that is a dark, dark, blue I'd still use a black sharpie, getting the color as close as possible to the background color.

I beg to differ on the stitch ripper as I have successfully removed logos from a few garments with one with little or no damage.

So have I, but I've also had others where holes did develop. I'm not saying a hole will develop 100% of the time, but often enough that if you care about the life of the garment, it's best not to tempt fate.

Are you going to were thin grey gloves?
We bought gray makeup stuff, to cover my face, hands, and neck. Also setting powder, to help prevent it from coming off. My husband got the blue makeup. Gloves may be an option - my husband may use those blue latex types gloves, but I'd have to use some kind of cloth I think. I don't know that one could play bass with latex gloves. Not to mention the issue of the heat here combined with non-breathing gloves.
