$100 Bass Challenge - Marceline's Axe Bass

We bought gray makeup stuff, to cover my face, hands, and neck. Also setting powder, to help prevent it from coming off. My husband got the blue makeup. Gloves may be an option - my husband may use those blue latex types gloves, but I'd have to use some kind of cloth I think. I don't know that one could play bass with latex gloves. Not to mention the issue of the heat here combined with non-breathing gloves.

I'd think you could get thin white cloth gloves and dye them to the appropriate pale grey. I just couldn't imagine having any type of gunk on my hands, but that's me.

or really mess with everyone...

Just a quick update. I ordered a box of those cotton gloves (Thanks for the link, @JIO ) and we'll have to get some dye. The wireless setup and preamp are on their way, and for $3.00, I ordered a few of those pins from eBay. And the striped shirt also shipped. I'm expecting everything before next weekend, and I'll be all set. Pics to come.

I noticed it said 'mens gloves' but being cotton if they are a little big/floppy, when you dye them just use really hot water and machine dry them on high - even if they shrink too tight, they'll stretch and conform to your hands.

They actually provided a chart and a way to measure your hands for the right fit. I bought one box, which has 12 pair. These should fit both mine and my husbands hands. We bought blue and gray dye - his character has blue skin - so we're both set up.

I also got some make-up. Black, of course. I've been negligent in practicing my girl skills. I think the last time i used makeup was last Halloween, and I almost poked my eye out. It's all fun and games until someone pokes their eye out...

I hadn't checked in on this thread in a while and ... W:cool:W!

The bass is done-done, the amp is sorted, costume is coming right along and ...

Sound CLIP! :hyper:

I'm not a singer. You, M'Lady, are a singer.

I often can barely get out of bed, but you are so inspiring Mapleglo that I have to do something. Will get some solid work done today. Many thanks for the kick in my keister.

...

Okay, just had a mini-burst of practice and will go practice some more shortly, but had to say...
