You meant 12 FEET, right? Not 12 inches surely. A 12 inch speaker can't get no bass.

12's?!! For Bass?!! Oh come now! Really?!!

Yea, 12's......I used a 70's Peavey 6x12 with two speakers cut off to make a 4x12 since '83...100lbs. I was always thinking I needed something else so I went with an Eden 4x10, an Ampeg 8x10, Aguilar 2x10 and a Fender TV15 but when Genz Benz released the NeoX 212, I surrendered and just said screw it, I play 12's. Things have worked out well with the 12's. Right now, I'm really digging the Mesa PH112 and my Walkabout for this 3 piece blues project......

I had a Tech folded 412 back in the day. It was pretty serious, big hi-fi tone. But had some weird over-excursion thing that happened from time to time at less than what I would consider extreme volume for such a big cab, my single bag end 15 is rated for less power but was equal or louder in volume. Sold it when I moved to Cali.
So you're trying to tell ME, that a 2x12 cab. is gonna be deeper, punchier, warmer and clearer than a 1x15? (or two 1x15's)? I'm a firm believer that 15's are the ultimate cones/cabs for Bass guitar, and now someone comes along and tells me that 12's are where it's at for Bass! Are you serious?
Go listen to a 2x12 and then decide for yourself. Trying to initiate a discussion on technical merits with people who actually use or have listened to a 2x12 while you're coming at it from a "firm believer" in a 1x15 perspective is a waste of time and typing. If you like your 1x15 (my fav cab too btw) stick with that and don't worry about what people are saying about 2x12s.
What is hip today will soon be passe.
Over the years I have seen so many whiz bang bright and shiny stuff that is really popular for a time but over time you see the stuff that really works come back around. You see that especially in the guitar world. I suffered too many years with a 2 X 12 cab. I had to crank it up too loud for the stage to carry well into the audience. I finally could afford a 4 ohm 4 X 10 which is OK, but would prefer a 1 X 15. I don't get to use my 1810 Peave cab. That thing is hard to beat. Hard to carry too but I love to use it.

mee toooo. I'm a convert. My Aguilar GS212 is the BEST over all sounding bass cab I've ever owned....and i've owned a looooooooootttttttt.
I stack a 10 on top of a 12 on top of a 15 on top of an 18 - no wait- am I trolling the right subject?

I'm glad your 15" loaded cab delivers what you're looking for. However, in something the GK Neo line I think you'd be a little disappointed with a 115 over a 112 or 212 given your stated tonal/voicing preference.
Speakers are electro-mechanical systems. The diameter of the drivers used is one of many pertinent design parameters, but it is also one of the least informative in determining how the entire system ultimately performs.
Yeah I gotta say that I always enjoyed most cabs I've tried, but on a whim I gave a Mesa 2x12 a go. All I can say is it blew my mind! IME best of both worlds...but it could be that it's a Mesa hahahaha
I recommend trying the Mesa traditional powerhouse if you haven't yet.

I had a PH212 and a PH115. The Bergantino blows them away and weighs less than half as much.
Speaking of which, I'm selling two 12" Scout cabs and a Walkabout head in the classifieds.
Their slogan should be: Mesa - wood never weighed so much.
