What kind of amp do you use at home? I'm still recovering from a severe bicycle accident from 2 yrs. ago so I am not going to be lugging it around.I think the tones available will help to keep you occupied until you can acquire an L1K.

I Believe it is a late 81' but I can't find another one like it. It is a hog with a maple neck. Is there a way to tell if it is an 81' or early 82'? #b008218 . Any information about this instrument would be great.
Thank you so much,
Christian
hog? Please explain.
mahogany
Nothing fancy, just a simple Acoustic B20. I'm just a hobbyist, so it suits me fine. What kind of amp do you use at home? I'm still recovering from a severe bicycle accident from 2 yrs. ago so I am not going to be lugging it around.
Over a year on this site and that's the first time I've seen that term used. I thought it meant the bass was thick or heavy like an actual hog.mahogany
It is as heavy as a hog for real!!!Over a year on this site and that's the first time I've seen that term used. I thought it meant the bass was thick or heavy like an actual hog.
Rosewood? Seems unsual for an '81 as I believe the standard "dark" fretboard for these were ebony, while rosewood was introduced in '82/'83. Can you post a pic?I bought my L2000e new in 1981. It has a rosewood fingerboard and mahogany body.
You still have it?I bought my L2000e new in 1981. It has a rosewood fingerboard and mahogany body.

Beautiful bass!!!My L2K (Serial #B007726) has the black crinke bridge and control plate, slot head polepieces. Its a rosewood/ northern ash tone/ back monster (10 lbs, 13 oz). It has late 81 and early 82 dates on the body & neck (I've had her since 85).
My bass weighs 10.5lbsBeautiful bass!!!
Then I'm guessing mine must be an 82' but I guess there's no way to tell without talking the bass apart. What amp do you recommend?
