1982 Fender P bass special-walnut

Grab it. Pretty rare, and worth probably double or more, cleaned up. Mine was fantastic.
So awesomely 80's.

Walnut P's are super rare. Only ever seen ONE personally. They're pretty cool.

Yep. I had one of those. Looks totally correct, and surely worth 1100. Pretty great bass, I just wasn't an active electronics P type guy.
I have one and its the best P I've ever played ...$1100 is a fair price for sure if its in decent condition...too bad its on Craigslist though...
I sent an email and a text to the guy but he hasn't responded yet. He posted it a couple of weeks ago. I hope he hasn't sold it yet.
Yep, stripe is normal. That bass is 100% correct from the looks of it. And you CAN switch it to passive if you dislike active. I ran mine in passive and it was great. One of the few basses I regret selling, totally.

I played one of these at a local shop a month or two ago. Very cool bass, sounded great and was beautiful but these walnut P's are HEAVY! If weight is an issue for you then you might want to be careful but otherwise this is a great deal (local one here was sold around $2300).
Not all heavy though. I had two over the years, both were around 9 pounds.

Ima big fan of walnut bass guitars. Never seen one up close n personal. I always take off 15% for my initial offer on CL, fwiw
