It's based on, though somewhat different than the neos we use in the Uber.

You know, I loved the low end on the Uber212, but could see where a bit more upper midrange presence would suit my style a bit better. One or two of these Quads might be just the ticket! :bassist: :bassist: :bassist: :cool:

I am curious, though, to hear your take (Andy) on which cab to pair up with one of these, if one wanted to drive two smaller 8-ohm Uber cabs. I would think that a second identical cab would be the best case scenario, but have you designed the Quad to "play nicely" when stacked with the Uber115 and/or Uber210?

Good question Tom. Roger could probably give you a better perspective as a player but the Uber 115 is one that seems to feel pretty good during testing.

For "my" thing (fretless, latin-jazz, slap style, busy-over playing-fusion) I like two Quads. I think that for "general" applications, a Quad with a 15" would go nicely.

Nice to be able to buy one of these three way cabs 'retail' without having to wait 3 months for a custom and/or having to know enough to spec out the right crossover, driver combination, etc. I would think one of the difficulties in marketing this design to a wider market is to communicate to the potential buyer that this isn't the typical 'cram a 15 and a 10 and a tweeter into a cab and call it a three way cab' sort of design.

The price ain't cheap obviously, but I can imagine the cost of components, the design time that went into it, and the more complex/time consuming assembly time with the multiple 'encolsures within enclosure' justifying the price.

VERY nice, and thanks for providing all that detail (and Agedhorse)... really interesting how these complex cabs all come together.

Smoother upper mid response and a bit more even tone when standing to the side of the cab is a good thing!

I bet this will be a killer stand-alone DB cab also.

Which 115?
You guys only have the XB2 and XB3 15's.......unless....

I think November they will be shipping....
Yes, both the Uber Quad and 115 are rated at 8 ohms.
