1x15/2x8 carvin cab?

Anyway, the Cyclops I played through a couple times was actually pretty capable for the time it was released. It also had some retrofit potential, though with fEAfuls around so easily built, that retrofitting and retuning stuff kind of loses its luster.

But a Cyclops cab with say a modern Carvin head like the BX1200 or BX1500 could be as cool or cooler than anything else with non-neo drivers set side by side.

The best solution I found was to place 1"-thick open-cell foam behind the grill on just one side, so that it covered one of the 6" drivers and the 10" driver below it, with some cut space around the tweet. This cab was really bright so it didn't hurt to knock down the upper midrange output anyway. Maybe that'd work for you with 1" gray foam over one of the 8"s.

Good idea. Never would have occurred to me. Thanks!
