2009 International GTG

If it's going to be US again (and it probably should be) then NYC or West Coast are the only two choices I would consider if you really want it to be "international". Same venue as this year would be fine, or if it's west coast, the Bay area would be my own preference.

+1 on this...

Honestly it has to be around a major city that accommodates the highest amount of players.

Other then one of the coasts the only real possibility would be Chicago. (only being real here)

ANYWHERE BUT THE US!!!!!!!

It really annoys me that you call it an international GTG, when really it's just a US one...

Maybe it could be like the Ryder Cup and alternate between the US and Europe - that would be fair(er)!
It only makes sense to have a GTG where the most people can attend. Most people who are on TB live in the US. As long as (at least) one person comes from a different country, it is international. By your logic we should just have it in Antarctica so then everyone has to travel.

Hey Bruce
I would not go as far as say its just the US one.
There where folks from the over the pond there...

However on that note I understand that it would be fair to have something in another country.
If you plan something on the same maginude over in the UK I'm sure folks from the US would come and quite possibly my family and I.

Are you offering to step up to the plate? ;)

Bruce's house sounds fine to me.

:p

I don't care really where you have it - but I just think it is misleading and dishonest to call it "international" - when it is really just American or US-based.

So fine, have it in the US but just don't call it international and then I can ignore it completely! :hmm:

You know, no one *forces* you to click on the thread.

I guess if it's in Europe, we shouldn't call it international, as it's really just hosted in one country.

I think I have a solution. Niagara Falls!!! Surely a GTG on the border of two countries would be considered international!
