2011 NFL Draft

The thing about Atlanta is that they don't have any gaping holes to fill. True, their pass rush and secondary need a little help, but they held for the most part of last season and can be helped in free agency. A couple of late first and fourth round picks honestly wouldn't help them that much, especially because a lot of their defense is very young and needs to develop further. Jones on the other hand could be the missing link in their offense. He could provide that spark that really makes the Falcons click. Idk, we'll see how this pans out though

Exactly. Ponder was the mother of all reaches. Even more so than Locker.

I'm still impressed with New Orleans. Great move picking up a proven winner in Ingram who can run behind an already solid line.

Man... what was A.J. Smith thinking? who the heck did the chargers just pick?? never even heard of the guy... we had cameron jordan available and smith picks... Luiget?? who??

really? while i wish nothing but the worst for my fellow afc wester, your first two picks on d make sense, especially that cb that should be good for punt returns. i just hope he has terrible hands. fumble fumble! woo! hehe...

Though the headline at the top of the league’s official website proclaims that the “lockout [is] back in force” after the ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit granted the league’s motion for a temporary stay of the decision ending the work stoppage, the league has not yet re-slammed the door.

“Our attorneys will review the decision and we will advise all clubs as soon as possible on next steps,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello tells PFT via e-mail.

Of course, it could be that the league has decided not to mention the “L” word while the draft is still occurring. And there’s no pressing reason to re-start the lockout over the weekend, since activity will be minimal.

Still, any team that hasn’t distributed playbooks to its players should be taking full advantage of the fact that the lockout has not officially recommenced. Yet.
