2011 NFL Preseason/ The Beginning

I dont know if that INT was Mannings fault, or because of the perfect coverage. Watch the clip and you'll see the guy was open and the ball was just taken mid throw out of nowhere.

It was a combination of things:

1) Manning was overconfident in his throw and his receiver breaking the route correctly - which he didn't.

2) Tracy Porter watched enough game film that he KNEW before the snap what the play was going to be based on the formation the Colts were in, and he "baited" Manning into making the throw - notice how far back in coverage he is sitting until the last instant, then he drives on the route and cuts the receiver off.

In the end, you can blame about 75% of that on Manning and the OC for the Colts for going to the well far too many times. Tracy Porter deserves all the credit possible, however, for spending the time studying his opponent and knowing their tendencies.

Good play by Porter and the rest of the Saints D (they were putting a LOT of pressure on Manning from his right side, which helped force him to make a quick - and WRONG - decision); not such a good play by Manning and the rest of the Colts O.

With Rice out for half the season and the status of Harvin uncertain, will Favre suddenly retire after "realizing" his ankle is not healed enough to play after all? Then magically show up in NOLA after Brees goes down with a season ending shoulder injury in a few weeks?

I'm kidding on the NOLA part. But it sure would be fun watching Gard twist in the wind as the QB he hates the most leads the team he loves the most.

:)

Cute. :spit:

...no way PayLoo take that ego onto their team. Not even in my worst nightmare. They'd turn the team over to Chase Daniel (aka "Lil'Brees" to most Saints fans right now...not me, yet....but I'm beginning to think he may be something...).

Besides, if FAR-VUH is gonna run off and hide at this point, it's more likely going to be because he has no offensive line protection, and the only hope for picking up a blitz is now in Chicago, because Adrian Peterson couldn't block a blindfolded billy goat on a blitz. Man will be running for his life...

I've got a sneaking suspicion Farve won't finish the season. :ninja:. He's already had his bell rung in less than four plays .

Y'think?

Lessee....piss-poor offensive line blocking - CHECK!....lost their best blocking RB in FA and didn't replace him - CHECK!....old fart QB with more ego than ability presently and NO mobility - CHECK!....

....you're not psychic, you're just observant.

;)

Who plays Manana??

:D

Gard...really now, you can let up on your hatred for the Vikings and Favre.

I saw Mangold got his money from the Jets the other day. I wonder if part of it was a restructure to free up money for Revis.

That aside, can you show where my observations are WRONG? ;)

...you CAN'T. :)

Probably...I can see both sides, but in the end, Revis signed a 4-year deal as a rookie, that was a "bet" by the Jets that he wouldn't be a lemon, and they got fortunate. It's equal in my mind to going to the casino and dropping $20 on the roulette wheel and winning. Most times, you don't. Dude signed the deal, they took the risk - not him. He needs to play the contract out, THEN cash in.

In my opinion, folks won't let up on the Farve bashing until he STAYS retired and stops the drama. That's why most of us can't stand the guy; we have beaten it like a dead horse, but it is true.
As for the Vikes, where I come from we don't care about them at all, but now they are held hostage by Farve, no one that I know is rooting for them.

Go Away Brett.

That's not the point. You just rail on and on about the same thing all the time. As an alternative to typing it out over and over, perhaps you could just link back to one of your other posts where you make your points.

In other news.....anyone following the Sergio Kindle story? What a bummer.

Mike,

Goin' on and on is whut we do man. It's foosball Bobby.

I only made the point of Farve getting ding-donged in less than four plays seems like it'll be trouble down the stretch. And it's relevant to now, not the past.

IMO Gard's opinions are valid too in that I didn't see a lot out of the Vikes line, and Farve's never been a mobile QB. Common sense'll tell ya, coming off ankle surgury will make him less mobile AKA a sittin' duck.

On the Kindle thing, I think it's pretty bad crackin' your melon.

I cracked my punkin when I was 6. Got shoved into one of them old school 25 inch 300lb "furniture" TV's.:help:

Dude'll never be the same. Look at me, busted mine and ended up on TB.

I think I remember a conversation about this situation an Emmitt Smith the other day...

HAY GUYZ!?! DO YOU THINK THAT THE WHINEQUEENS' (LOLOMG LOOK HOW CLEVER I AM) OFFENSIVE LINE IS BAD OR THAT BRENT FAR-VUH (LOL CLEVER CHECK IT OUT!) IS NOT A MOBILE QUARTERBACK??!!!

I DON'T THINK I'VE HEARD ANYONE ADDRESS THOSE TOPICS IN THE PREVIOUS THREADS ABOUT FOOTBALL AND BRENT FAR-VUH (LOL CLEVER AGAIN) YET!!!!

He who lives in Tampa, should not throw stones :ninja::D.

If those topics are so bad, where's your somethin' new to talk about?

I linked an article about McNabb whining that no one in Philly supported him, and how terrible all that criticism was:rollno:.

Oh the poor woes of a millionaire QB:bawl:

....why don't you go figure out how to get rid of the Glazers so your team can become relevant again, hmmkay????

Is there anything going on in the NFL that's more juicy troll-bait than talking about Favre and his on again/off again relation ship with retirement? Don't think so. It doesn't matter what anyone posts, the conversation is always steered back to Favre at some point. Besides, there's nothing much going on in Tampa other than Freeman breaking his thumb and some rookies and younger guys looking decent, and some looking bad.

If I could figure something out I would, believe me. They're entrenched so deep into Tampa though it's like trying to dig out a bot fly that's nestled up to one of your kidneys.
