2011 Vintage Guitar Price Guide

They are still low and have been for years on the Fullertons. Show me a completed auction for a clean all original Fullerton Jazz for less than 2k. Another example, here is a 62 Fullerton Strat that just sold for $4775.

Now according to the 2011 Price Guide, what is that worth? I know that according to my 2009 edition it is only worth $1500-2500.

I am not sure what was special about that CAR 57 Strat. In the price guide 62's and 57's are priced the same and the 62's are selling about that price $2500-$3000. That 57 didn't even have the original case. That was a freak sale for sure.

I looked this up on my own earlier and thought it was interesting. Fullerton reissues have actually dropped a bit in value and the book puts all reissues from 82-89 in the same price range. After that all other reissues are $1000-$1100 which is only a few hundred cheaper. I would say that it's false but beyond a few rare cases I would say that Fullertons don't sell for what they used to.

Those prices are about what I expected, although the 1996 Fender LTD models are a little higher than I would have thought.
The Fullerton RIs have come down quite a bit, almost to the point where they are bargains again.

The Fullerton RIs have come down quite a bit, almost to the point where they are bargains again.

Except according to the price guide they have gone up since 2009. I would take that price guide with a grain of salt -- at least with respect to Fullerton reissues.

Not to belabor the Fullerton issue too much, but when I bought my two-tone 'burst '83 '57 RI P in 2007, the price guide was $200-$300 below the market for that bass according to my research at the time.

For some reason they don't break out fretless so I am going to give you the standard price and I guess it would vary to some degree?
