How much was the guide and where did you get it?

They don't call out the tuners specifically but the lollipops make it more desirable from what I have seen.

The book can be bought straight from the Vintage Guitar magazine website. I think it was close to $30?

Not to belabor the Fullerton issue too much, but when I bought my two-tone 'burst '83 '57 RI P in 2007, the price guide was $200-$300 below the market for that bass according to my research at the time.

I have found that these transistionals are not really well represented. They list the 82 but no specifics on transitional models. 82 was one of the early Standards and your bass does not really fall into that. I would say yours would be more in the $1200 range.
