That said, it looks like the bruins are trying to rotate who is watching from the booth so that no one gets too rusty and guys who are nicked up get a bit of rest.

The bruins have had a lot of injuries so far, so its not just you, it is at least us.
That said, it looks like the bruins are trying to rotate who is watching from the booth so that no one gets too rusty and guys who are nicked up get a bit of rest.
Yeah it was. I was really impressed with Fleury. My groin still hurts from watching him do the splits on the save on Cogliano late in the third. Another guy makes an impressive debut. I never heard of Brian Gibbons before last night.
Interesting line changes Bylsma made. He says he will keep them in place for Wednesday's showdown with the Caps.

Everybody knows that Giroux has been struggling with the Flyers this season. But he did notch a couple goals recently, and still makes some sweet passes.
Now that he seems to be getting his confidence back, I read that he received a nice text from (former Flyers captain) Mike Richards. Claude didn't say specifically what was said, but implied that Richards basically told him to just relax and not try to do too much; and reminded him how fortunate they are just to be playing in the NHL. Just have some fun, in other words.
I'm sure others have told him the same things, but Giroux seemed genuinely appreciative that Richards had taken the time to do that. Claude said that they still talk every so often. Classy move by Richards.

Lol at Jeremy R saying fleury has been good not great and needs to prove himself tonight. Fleury has been one of the most consistent and best playing Pens this season. Regular season has never been an issue for him. Some of the stuff the NBC guys say just blows my mind.

After listening to those guys following the Anaheim win, I had to double check the standings as they were talking about the Pens like they were a two or three win team.
Interestingly....if the playoffs started today, none of the top eight teams in the eastern conference would make the playoffs if they were in the western conference.

Zatkoff in goal tonight for the Pens. His last start against the Islanders was ugly. Hopefully he gets more help from the defense this game and he plays better.
Jagr scores again, this time an OT game winner. Now he is tied with Gordie Howe for most GWG's. I'm happy to see him playing well in NJ.
I was really mad at Hossa when he snubbed the Pens a few years ago, but I've come back around and like him again. He scored the game winner last night against Winnipeg.

Avs squeak by the Coyotes. Coyotes should have won that game... They destroyed the 3rd period, but O'Reilly's OT game winner was pretty.
I like both. Watching plays and fights develop is rad and so is watching the chippy stuff that happens behind the play. Being on the glass though... I'm not a real excitable guy but those guys are fast as hell and when a good hit happens in front of you you can't help but jump out of your seat.
It seems the Jaques Martin effect is in full force for the Penguins right now. They're playing some great defense, and I can't see it doing anything but getting better once Scuderi is back. Hopefully they bring it for Zatkoff tonight. He has played pretty decent IMO.
I was upset when Hossa left the Pens for the Red Wings and said he did it because he wanted to win a cup. But after the Pens beat the Red Wings in a repeat SCF I figured that was enough justice that I could go back to liking him. Then he won one with Chicago and all was good. I know there's some quote of his, where he was asked if he regretted leaving the Pens for the Red Wings. He said something along the lines of no, if he had in stayed in Pittsburgh, things might have turned out differently, and he was very happy for his former teammates that they were able to win a cup. Humble guy.
Pens at Bruins for round two tonight. The puck drops in less than 90 minutes. Boston has been on a hot streak while the Pens float in and out of playing solid hockey for 60 minutes. I feel like Boston is going to stick it to them tonight.
Speaking of Hossa, he will be out for his second straight game tonight due to a personal matter. I sure hope everything is alright with him and his family.

Holy crap, just looked at standings. The top 7 teams in the West have more points than the #1 team in the East.
funny thing is that so many were upset that the East's extra teams would make it harder for eastern teams to make the playoffs. I guess things have evened out...
You were right. Fleury took a dump in the 3rd there.
On the other hand. My Kings are beat up, but the kids called up are playing really good hockey, and Scrivens looks like a legit #1 goaltender.
I'm actually OK with Fleury and the Pens struggling through the regular season. It's no fun to watch your team lose, I don't like that part, but this may not be such a bad thing overall. Since 2009, the Pens have had solid regular seasons for the most part and then fade away in the playoffs.
Hats off to Boston, especially after the Pens came out strong early. I really like how the Bruins have been playing, and Rask is a solid goalie.

With serious injuries to Martin and Sucds, basically all hope of Letang being traded this season is gone. Ugh.
Just when the Flyers were starting to put it together, they go "0 For Florida", losing to the Panthers on Monday and the Lightning tonight. What is it about those Florida teams that cause the Flyers so much grief?! Ugh...
Geez. I'm on the road up in Seattle so I only caught parts of the Pens game, but I'm sad I missed that one. I really prefer a tight competitive hockey game but it sounds like I would have lost my voice yelling at the TV tonight. Pens were down 4-1 to the Leafs and won in a shootout.
