In Seattle? No way, I'm about an hour south of you. I was looking for someone to watch the game with tonight. Bummer deal.

I much prefer to see the low scoring games myself, but I was really impressed with how they came back from basically being knocked out of the game.

Look out folks, the Sharks are hot again. Six in a row at this point.

The Pens snatched victory from the jaws of defeat tonight. I turned the game off after the first period to work on other things around the house. I decided to look later on to see how bad they lost. Surprise to me, they pulled it out in OT. I agree with the NLHN guys who commented about Crosby's improvement playing defense this season. Great back check and steal to set up the game winner, which was equally impressive splitting the defenders with a guy up in his face.

First two periods Pens were on a fast train to crap town but Fleury kept them in it and the big stars came through. Crosby Malkin and Neal are all on a projected pace to hit 100 points. Thought Malkin took a pretty dumb penalty to give the Islanders a PP for the last two minutes of regulation, then Vanek took an even dumber one. Crosby's GWG was basically an incredible snap shot of his career so far. Basically said "ok this game is now mine" and beat the islanders 1 on 4 when they still had the puck. It was very Mario-esque.

I just saw where Zetterberg is out a couple weeks with a herniated disc in his back. I sure hope this doesn't end his career.

In other news, Lundqvist is now the highest paid goalie in the NHL...seven years for $59,500,000.00.

I'm beginning to dread what Homer's going to do with Mason's negotiations starting in January now that the high bar has been set. Mason of course is not deserving of anything close to that but if he keeps up his work through December, they'll need to toss him something and then need to do something for a backup if they don't renew Emery.

Thankfully with that nice mega-billion contract from Rogers, the cap should go way up next year.

Impressive comeback from Philly for sure. I didn't see it on TV, but was following it in the NHL app on my Android phone.

Big showdown in Pittsburgh tonight. San Jose comes to town with their six game winning streak while Pittsburgh is sitting on a four game winning streak.

Montreal and Boston will be another good one, which I think is on national TV in the USA tonight.

Here's to hoping Pittsburgh plays a full 60 minutes of hockey so we have an awesome game. And yes, congrats to Bill Guerin! His time as a player with Pittsburgh was short, but the importance was immeasurable. I think I remember them saying that he holds the record for the longest time period between two Stanley Cup wins?

Love that they retained him as part of the Pens organization. I wonder how long it will be until he's an NHL GM? He has a great hockey mind, is amazing with the players and is a smart guy.

Yeah, it wasn't looking very good when the Wings went up 3-1; but to the Flyers credit, they never stopped coming. I just love seeing Couturier's big, toothless grin when he scores a goal! Shades of Bobby Clarke for sure. Couturier is playing really well, and he seems like a great kid.

Must have been a weak ballot. I'm surprised either of them got in. Solid players for sure, but neither were prolific scorers or even big point getters and they both each only had a couple of great years. Weight had 1200 points, but I don't believe a HOF career should be based on longevity. Gritty, good hockey players, but HOF....eh, 50/50 call.

I watched a lot of Rangers games back then..Amonte, Granato and Weight was a good line, with Leetch at the point.

Montreal v. Boston tonight in Montreal. :hyper:

The B's are rested (4 days off!)and have been playing well of late; the C's are coming off a bunch of games and are not as well rested; but they are the C's and they are difficult to beat on their home ice at the Bell Centre. It should be a good game.
