2013 Ampeg V-4B 100W Reissue Pt2

AMS's B stock warranty is the manufacturers warranty plus one year. If they will give me the b stock price with that warranty, it will be worth it. If not, I will be exchanging it and they can sell it to someone else for the same deal.
I'd exchange it. You didn't pay for the scratch, so they shouldn't have included it. You don't want to get more than you paid for.
Loud should be able to tell you if it is a second from the serial number. If it is, the dealer bought it at a reduced price and are charging you more than they should be.
Ok, check this out!!!!!! After all this, I decide to fire it up and make sure it is operational. It's D.O.A. Checked all cables. All tubes glowing. No sound. Used same cables and cabinet with my PF500 and got sound. Good thing I checked it before trying to get a discount.

No doubt. Well I'll bet it suffered some sort of postal trauma, even if it didn't show any outward signs.
WOW, too bad on the new DOA V4B. Mine had a piece of cardboard shoved into the same spot when I unwrapped it from box. Guessing it was there to hold the fabric cover in place. I removed it carefully and pressed the cloth into place. It shifts abit if I press on it but I just press it back into place and hasn't moved in awhile.
I received my new 112AV with no Velcro on the top sides of the cab. Mesh cover had em. Sweetwater wanted me to return it and they'd send me out a all new 112AV. I didn't feel like hassling with the return. I told em I was about to order a couple 10' XLR cables to extend my two 20' XLRs I own. I asked if they'd just send me those couple cables free, I'd keep the cab as it played just fine. The front cover stayed on even while I was thumping it after unboxed. Only noticed the no Velcro as I removed front cover first day to check out the cab better. They over-nited the XLR's plus a speakon connector I also wanted. I was happy with that. Cab n amp looked totally new overall.
I just stuck a couple small pieces of cardboard at top corners of the 112AV and front cover stays in place fine. Your situation is a lot more problematic, def send it back. Maybe ask em for a little sumpin-sumpin for your troubles. Good luck, hope you're up n running soon.

Aw cool, thanks jimmy, guess I should do a correct fix in case I sell my two 112AV's off. I get way more use of my single 212AV anyway. I had called Ampeg back then and they stated they don't send out such parts to customers. Guessing these just attach to cab with a couple small tack nails maybe?
Mine are held on with little Philips head sheet metal screws. You probably have holes drilled, no? Weird they wouldn't send them out when they were missing. I might have asked to speak to Hodgy at that point 
Yep I prolly shoulda pressed Ampeg for more but it was such a small issue. I'd have to check again but I don't recall the holes being in the cab. It's like they just forgot to install any of it at top of this cab. IIRC, there is some wood there I can nail/screw the Velcro holds onto the cab no prob.
Thanks again for that site. I see some leather strap handles I may also order to give my 112AV's a second end handle and not have to cut into the cab for the spring loaded style handles. I'd like to add a couple strap handles to either the top or the sides of my V4B as well to be able to two hand-carry it at times.

Ya, Fliptops is great. They build repros of all the old cabs you can't get from Ampeg anymore, too.
Hey one thing to try before you give up because this happened to me. I initially thought my V4B was DOA too and went through the same troubleshooting steps that you did. I found out that the power cord "inlet" was super tight. I thought I plugged in the cable tight but it needed another 1/8" to make contact. Again, not trying to insult your intelligence but make sure that it is pushed in there very firmly.
I would love to hear their repro of the old B40 cab. That was the first cab I used with my old V4B before I upped to the SVT810. I think Tom Bowlus has an original B40, IIRC.
