2013 Ampeg V-4B 100W Reissue Pt2

I'd have to get that up in the air more. I'd probably just put your option 1 on top of the stand.
I don't think id use option 2. The first one works for me. I really bought this cab as my at home practice rig and to use the cab with a micro head.
So I turn on my v4b reissue to jam a bit today and every sound that comes out my cab is a distorted mess, even at lower volumes. Imagine this amps interpretation of a boss metal zone pedal when I hit my e string. Looked around back and all 4 power tubes seemed to be lighting up. Wonder if I possibly knocked a preamp loose or if one went bad? Not much experience with tube amps so any help would be great, thanks guys!
Yep, just a loose preamp tube. Back to thumping and pounding away with my pbass equipped with flats through my uber15. Getting a really good motown type vibe/sound out of this setup. Tubes just seem to add another dimension of depth and authority to the notes.

This was probably asked earlier but I would rather not go through 97 pages of comments. What brand tubes come with the V4B?
I actually haven't checked mine, but I believe the stock tube's are all JJ's.
No doubt. A couple times I've gone into a GC and seen SVTs sitting on top of fridges, then looked at the back only to discover the amp wasn't connected to anything (I'm tall enough to do that without much trouble). I wonder how many times those heads were switched on and taken off standby with no load because the prospective user didn't check first.
You would be surprised how many times that would happen. I worked for GC for 3 months and the whole time I was there I made sure the 1 SVT they had in stock was always plugged in and treated well. But I would still never purchase a floor amp, especially tubes no matter how much money they took off the price.
Has anyone out there tried running an Aguilar Tone Hammer pedal into the Power Amp In for a different flavor? I'm curious to hear about experiences running different preamps into the Power Amp In.
Jimmy I finally made it down to Sam Ash and got to try the V4B and the SVT-VR. Both amps sounded great but man did I really like the SVT-VR. I think down the road I will pick up a V4B when my show schedule slows down and I am playing at home more often. I like the fact the V4B does not have a fan which is good at low volumes.
There is a guy in Tampa that has an SVT-VR who is willing to sell it for $1,000. I would probably have to change the power tube section because 3 years ago he put it 4 Winged C power tubes but not the other two because he ran out of cash. I am wondering if I have 1 Winged C tube wearing out in my SVT-CL if one of the 4 or maybe 3 of the 4 could replace that spot to keep it going. So basically it would be about $1,350 after adding JJ power tubes to the SVT-VR or I could get the one at Sam Ash which I think said $1,300. I didn't like the fact that it seemed the front grill was changed on the SVT-VR to black.
