Hey look, Nashville scores again, 5-0 now. I missed the game, but all reports say it was a thorough thrashing by Nashville. I don't really think the Pens have any kind of home ice advantage.

Geez, what did Potvin say?! Even though I'm a Flyers fan, I've always felt that Potvin is generally pretty fair with his comments. He'll usually give credit to the other team where due, and admit when his team "got away with one".
Yep, he's usually pretty even, but rag$ fans can't see it.
And BTW, that's Potvin's CUPS!

He may not be the best goalie in the league, but he seems to be what the Wild needed. Some stability and confidence between the pipes so everyone else can just do their thing. I think we're 8-1-1 in the last 10 games, back to back shut outs, mostly healthy. Things seem back on track for now. Can't wait to see them live Monday against the Canucks.
I'm not sure I would call it a thrashing. We were just quicker to the puck. I was expecting Hutton to have a meltdown any second, but the goals just never came.
Speaking of Hutton having a meltdown, he let in 2 last night to start off the third period. Then he turns around and makes a pair of highlight reel saves to keep us in it. I don't understand how he can be so inconsistent.
I'll be glad when Rinne is back and it doesn't seem like we are playing from behind or playing for overtime all night.
Not sure I would complain about Hutton, that was as good a save as I have seen in a long time. Now Bernier.....leaves with an injury, Leafs get right back in the game, Bernier returns and....well, that's 10 in a row. On a positive note, the last time the Leafs lost 10 in a row was 1966-1967. Turns out we had a nice parade down Bay street that year too. One can only dream....
I wouldn't complain about Hutton, but it was the same up and down game last year. A couple of highlight real/save of the year type plays, and a side of about 15-20 soft goals that probably kept us out of the playoffs. I like the guy, he's fantastic during the in game interviews, but I just wish we got the same guy every night. I am very glad that he got his feet under him, it looked for a long time that he was doomed to a winless season as a back-up.
Sure was, Minni played well, the Hawks not so well. As a Hawks fan, I hope the Wild pound the Canucks
Welcome back Malkin! He picks up the game winner in the second and Fleury with his seventh shutout this season leads the Pens to a win in Edmonton in the first of a three game western swing.
I'm glad to see Malkin playing again. We're going to the game in Vancouver this weekend. I was worried he'd still be out.

An impressive win by the Flames over the Sharks last night that has vaulted Calgary from the 2nd wild card spot to 2nd in the Pacific division. Things are so close in the playoff positioning that every game feels like a playoff game. Get to see the Pens live tomorrow. I was really hoping they'd have a good outing against the Sharks to give them some good Momentum against Pittsburgh tomorrow.
