2014-2015 NHL Regular Season Thread

interesting trade, could be a win for both teams.

Kane had to get out of Winnipeg, lets see how he does with a fresh start and new teammates.

I am really interested to see how Myers plays in the 'peg. I've seen him play a few times live, he is an exciting player as well, but not a number one d-man. I think too much was expected of him in Buffalo.

Kane signs with the Buff, 6 years / $31,500,000.

Yikes.

He's young, but...has been arrogant, questionable decisions off ice, and lazy.

He needs to grow up.

He's had 20+goals/season only once in his career so far.

That's it.

"Potential" doesn't mean anything if it's never reached.
And he's out for the year (shoulder surgery).

No, Buffalo's not tanking.

Do they know about the new draft rules? ;)

I sure didn't expect the Pens to dominate the Red Wings Wednesday night. I caught most of that game. It was good to see the Pens really dig in early and take control of the game.

Tell you what though, I am really going to miss Datsyuk and Zetterberg when they leave the NHL. Two of my favorite players right there.

Oof. I'm glad I had other things to do last night and only caught about 10 minutes of the game. The wings have been on a mad hot streak lately, I'm not surprised to see them drop one in such a fashion. Mrazek has been a champ, but I'm glad Howard is back.

The B's go against the Canucks tonight - 10 PM start for us the right coast - good thing I can sleep in tomorrow. The B's have allowed the Panthers to get back in the hunt - the B's are only 4 points ahead of Florida and Florida has a game in hand. Hopefully we will see some "we need to win some games to get into the SCP" type desperation in the B's game - the beginning of February has seen a let down after a fantastic January.

Watched the replay of the Avalanche - Rangers last night. I have never seen such a dominant visitor crowd. Seriously, it looked and sounded like it was in MSG. Even more than when I lived in Florida.

Canucks blew the B's out - painful to watch. Two terrible giveaways in their own end that the Canucks efficiently put in the net. The only positive was the B's did twice get back to a 1 goal difference but there just was not the urgency that is required. Fortunately, Florida lost, but the idea is rebuild its lead not to maintain it. The B's have been Jeckyl and Hyde all year and lately Mr. Hyde has been getting more shifts.
