2019 Gear Purchase Plans

In 2018 I sold a boat load of amps and several basses. They were not being used and it was time to move this gear.

I acquired 3 used Mike Lull basses and totally revamped my speaker cabinet needs with some Bag End product.. I'm covered for any type of gig that comes my way. I'm really liking the Lull basses..

I'm in the process of compiling a list of items that I will sell..a few basses and possibly and amp or two.

I'm very intrigued by the LeFay basses but they're way out of my price range..if I can strike a trade or see a really crazy deal on one I might pull the trigger.

And of course we shall see what NAMM will bring to us..

I ordered a custom Maruszczyk Elwood C 4a to be built (99 more days to go).

I might end up buying Mesa Subway 112 cab to complete my setup. Otherwise, a LOT of practicing and practicing this year.

A small speaker cab because my 2x10 was destroyed while in n storage at my parents and my old 1x10 practice amp sounds really bad. My Eden WT400 needs a new friend.

May or may not get a new bass, depends on if I sell my old Jeep or find a way to convince the wife we need it. (Already know I need it...) What I get will depend on how much I sell it for. Shes already mad I was looking at a used Lakland 44-14 (too much $)

What I really NEED is to carve out time to practice.

I picked up a GK Mb 112 II combo a few weeks a go for $250 cdn. Other than the tolex being tattered it is in perfect working order. Now I found the matching powered cab for $300 CDN (Used) so I am ordering it tomorrow.

Also...

1. Fender Active/Passive Jazz
2. Fender Player P bass, or Deluxe P bass in sunburst/ maple
3. Fender Player fretless, or Squier Jazz fretless (If I can get a good deal)
4. Used Epi Tobias Toby to convert into a semi unlined fretless
5. Boss WL20L wireless

Always on the hunt for
1. Tobias Growler
2. Gibson Victory
3. Dark Blue Trans Jazz or P bass with maple fingerboard

Well that's all my extra cash for the next year or 5 :)

I’m being good this year... if I happen to stumble apon an Aguilar GS412, a Geddy Lee Jazz, Gibson Grabber, or a g and l L-2000 at a good price I’ll think about it. What’s nice is no one seems to own cool gear in Denver or want to sell it and I refuse to buy stuff I can’t play first at this point.

I think I only have two major purchases planned for 2019. A Fender Precision from the Mod Shop and a Mesa WD800. I've always wanted a walnut or mocha brown P bass. I almost stole one from college - inadvertently. I was in Jazz band and they had an unplayable P bass in the music room. I borrowed it at the end of one year planning to get it back into playability, but it went into the storage space in my apartment and out of mind. Got a phone call at the end of the year - "bring the bass back". Oops. But it was honest. I guess the morality question would be if they hadn't called and I was moving out of the apartment, discovered it, would I have taken it back? Anyways, I still want a brown P bass and yeah, I realize that Mod Shop is a bit of a ripoff.

I've got that same bass … it's a 74 but same color.
