2019 Gear Purchase Plans

I'd like a 6-string this year, because I think I'll end up with one anyways.
And I hope that's it. Two basses should be plenty for now, really loving my Sire P7, although it will need a fret dress sometime this year.
I hope that's it. Emphasis on hope.

NO MORE GEAR FOR ME. But I did buy a mod shop P bass last year with the Pure Vintage '63 pickups and I LOVE this bass.

I think I only have two major purchases planned for 2019. A Fender Precision from the Mod Shop and a Mesa WD800. I've always wanted a walnut or mocha brown P bass. I almost stole one from college - inadvertently. I was in Jazz band and they had an unplayable P bass in the music room. I borrowed it at the end of one year planning to get it back into playability, but it went into the storage space in my apartment and out of mind. Got a phone call at the end of the year - "bring the bass back". Oops. But it was honest. I guess the morality question would be if they hadn't called and I was moving out of the apartment, discovered it, would I have taken it back? Anyways, I still want a brown P bass and yeah, I realize that Mod Shop is a bit of a ripoff.

That's a good looking bass. I'm getting ready to build one, an oval washtub with fretless Jazz neck 'upright'. Cut a couple fingers off, and we made the curve putting them back fit the jazz's I play. Had to sell my upright-just Too much neck. Hoping this will get the sound I want, and keep the fingers quiet! haha

My only planned purchase this year will be a Fender Jazz style four string lefty which a luthier is helping me build myself, which will become my 7th bass. Another small purchase will be a jazz bridge pickup in my recently defretted Squire P.

I'm happy to support him with a subscription, as Andrew has dropped most of the advertising across his website due to the volume of data collection and analytics we're being subject to by the unscrupulous leeches in the data collection and social media world.

Other than that, I ain't buyin NUTHIN til I see what NAMM has to bring!
