My impulse purchase didn't show up in my last post. This one was also recent- 2023. It's fun!
I didn't realize how many basses I had gotten this year, until I looked through my purchase histories for this thread.....
In order of acquisition:
2022? Squier Contemporary Jazz HH - it was new but with bad electronics. Swapped the pre-amp for a Sadowsky unit:
1987 Ibanez rb800, only year they were made:
2023 Ibanez srms625ex, the first new, nothing wrong with it, bass I've bought in years (on the right):
I also bought a 1987 Washburn G-8V, the first 6-string I've had in like...30 years? My first guitar ever was a black one, when I was a junior? senior? in H.S......

My newest bass for this year, an Ibanez BTB605MS - 5 string with a Dingwall-style multiscale, low B is 37". Sounds super punchy and plays beautifully.
My other new bass, a partscaster with an aluminum neck. Some things have changed since this photo, it's currently getting some Quarter Pound pickups installed, it also has Stringjoy rounds tuned to G# standard instead of the GHS flats pictured. This one has quickly become my #1 bass, and I don't know that I'll ever part with it.
That Schecter Corsair looks killer, I didn't know they were making basses like that now.
Yeah, it’s a beauty. Well built. First semi-hollow I had with active pups. I have others with coil splits, but not active. Different sound.
I liked the Alder JB5 I bought in 2022 so much that in 2023 I bought its Sugar Pine cousin.
2023 was a strange year for me with just one bass bought.
TBH I'd almost zero interest in the bass, all I wanted was the neck and bridge. It was worth £50 to get them, Guyker want £45 for those 2 part bridges.

Peavey G Bass modded with Super Ferrite recreations by 916 pickups. Still needs a pickguard.
Parts bass, MIM Fender neck. Unknown body is a nice heavy piece of Mahogany. Super Ferrite P pups by 916 pickups.

I traded a FSO Jazz bass for a bottle of Chilean Pisco (totally worth it!) and sold an old Teisco sub-shortscale.
